The Lair is one of our pet friendly accommodation in Port Renfrew and can accommodate two comfortably or a family of four. It is a modern cottage newly built in 2011, including propane cooking stove and propane fireplace. It is furnish with a fully equipped kitchen, queen size bed in a separate bedroom and double hide-a-bed in living area. TV with DVD movies, blue-ray player, Netflix and WiFi are provided.
Outside you will find a large front deck with a built in fire pit, an outdoor propane heater, BBQ and lots of lounge chairs make this place ideal for entertainment. Plenty firewood is stock at the back of the cottage for the fire pit and (free of charge).
The Lair also has a long driveway almost 50ft long so can easily accommodate a boat or any other long vehicles. In December of 2012 The French Girl's Lair became even cozier when we installed a gas fireplace in the family room.
Exceptional Pacific Northwest Rainforest natural experience, hiking, beach combing, surfing nearby, storm watching at Botanical Beach, world class salmon and halibut fishing in season (may-Oct), abundant wildlife and the magnificent forest of Avatar Grove; a photographer's dream.
You can get a few basic groceries at the Real Goods Market (open in season only) next to Tomi's dinner. A bigger selection of groceries including beer, wine and liquor can be bought at the General Store on Parkinson Road (open from 11am-7pm everyday). Itâ??s a good idea though to stock up on groceries on your way to Port Renfrew in Sooke or Cowichan Lake if you are travelling from the other direction. Of course everyone takes credit cards, debit cards and that ancient currency, cash.

Five minutes of walking from the cottages will get you to our marina if you’re going fishing or you want to take in the sea air. Tomi’s HomeCooking is just accross the street and The Coastal Kitchen Café and The Renfrew Pub are about 10-15 minute walk away if you get tired of your own cooking. A General store including beer, wine and the hard stuff are located about 1km from the cottage on Parkinson Road. It’s a good idea though to stock up on groceries on your way to Port Renfrew in Sooke or Cowichan Lake if you are travelling from the other direction.
The Pacific Gateway Marina is 2 min of walking distance where you can go fishing the world class salmon and halibut or if you just want to take in the sea air. Enjoy a hike/walk through are exceptional Pacific Northwest Rainforest or beautiful beaches perfect for a swim, canoeing, kayaking, snorkelling, or scuba diving. Go storm watching at Botanical Beach and/or enjoy the abundant wildlife and the magnificent forest of Avatar Grove a photographer's dream.+ More
