There are many private nooks in this home providing rest and relaxation during your stay.
This location is the best of both worlds. You have the option put away your car keys and walk to Encinitas’ finest restaurants, shops and beaches. But you are also close driving distance to Legoland, Sea World, Historic Balboa Park, The San Diego Zoo, and Disneyland is an hour away—worth the day trip. So many activities to be had, but sometimes the best is to just settle in and beach it!
Inside the house
Open the front door to a bright and relaxing front living room with tv. A balinese bench and attractive leather couch has plenty of seating for a group. Just off the room is the laundry room. The kitchen, dining table and open seating peninsula bar wind around into another hospitable seating area with a fireplace and piano which are situated in front of french doors. Open them up to have an easy flow to and from the back patio, hot tub, yard, fire pit BBQ and outdoor dining table.
Lounge and play in the second living room, where you’ll find a leather couch,tv, massage chair, giant bean bag, ping pong table, game supplies and Wii. This room enjoys access to back balcony through another set of french doors. This room is tons of fun for kids to play or as a retreat.
An open-concept kitchen features granite counters, stainless steel appliances, an island and peninsula with bar stools. The dining table seats 6 with extra seating for 4 at the peninsula bar.
A grand master bedroom includes a king-sized bed with a 2 sided fireplace for the attached retreat space with desk. The master has a private deck and access to the upper ocean view deck. The attached bathroom has a beautifully detailed en-suite bath, large separate shower with 2 shower heads, and convenient double sinks with marble tops. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, and desk while the third bedroom has 2 twin beds with a desk. The 2nd bathroom has a stand-up shower with granite accents and is located in the hallway en-route to the upstairs bedrooms. Both the 4th bedroom and bathroom is downstairs and has a comfortable futon that can easily convert from couch to a comfy queen bed. It has a pocket door for direct access to the downstairs bathroom with a clawfoot tub and hand held shower.
A sunny patio area features plenty of seating, a hot tub and an outdoor shower on the side yard. BBQ and dining table are right off the french doors which allow easy access to in and outside seating. S’mores can be made after dinner around the fire pit while the badminton or croquet competition ensue!
One of the best features of this home is its location just down the street from Grandview Surf Beach on a private, quiet street. A great surf spot and beautiful beach walking distance to great restaurants.
Other favorite spots nearby: Beacon’s Beach is less than 1 mile away, or travel a little further to Moonlight State Beach for volleyball courts, lifeguards, and firepits for evening hangouts. For peaceful hikes, birdwatching, and fishing, beautiful Batiquitos Lagoon is 1.5 miles away.
The neighborhood bakery, French Corner, can be found 10 minutes from home—the croissants are simply perfect—and upscale nightcaps can be had at Shelter, just about 2 miles away.
For fresh seafood and an incredible wine selection, visit Fish 101, less than a half-mile from home. Great place for happy hour! The Leucadian Pour House offers ice-cold beer and creative cocktails. Apple fritters, cake doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, and ham and cheese croissant will satisfy your sweet tooth and easy breakfast needs at Leucadia Donut Shoppe just down the hill.
The hike at San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve is just as beautiful as the 12-minute drive there.+ More
