The rental is a duplex in historic Monroe, located in the neighborhood of the Original Laz-y-Boy Furniture Factory; their new World Headquarters is only 2 miles away. Tenneco is only 3 miles away; Pro-Medica Hospital is 1.6 miles. Fermi is 10 miles, Midway Products is 4 miles, and Detroit Ave with it's many industrial sites is 2.7 miles. Monroe County Community College is 4.6 miles. Minutes to I-75, M50, M24, I275. and 30 miles to Detroit or Toledo. Lake Erie Transit is the bus system and we have taxi service as well.
Property Furnishings. The Property is furnished as follows.
a. General. Fire Extinguisher, smoke detectors, Carbon Monoxide detector, internet, water, electric, heat, air-conditioning is seasonal, full-length mirror, nick-knacks, pictures, wall hangings, full-length mirror, pictures, ceiling fans in living room and kitchen. Rags are under the sink in the kitchen and bathroom with other cleaning supplies, use these for messes, not dish or bath towels. There is a Dollar General, CVS, Dollar Store, a few blocks south near Kroger on Monroe St. (M-25) and many other shopping locations if you need or run out of something.
b. Kitchen. Electric stove, dishwasher, cooking spoon holder, refrigerator, dish drainer and mat, microwave, kitchen ware, basket with welcome snacks, full salt and pepper shakers, a general spice for anything, toothpicks, paper towels, food storage containers, foil and plastic wrap, pitcher, George Foreman grill, large bowls, with pizza pan, bread pan, muffin pans and cooling racks in drawer under stove, measuring bowl, toaster, coffee pot with clock auto shutoff measure scoop and reusable filter, hand mixer, casserole bake ware, shot glasses, trash bags, 4 chip clips, a couple used but mostly new SS pots/pans, trivets, cutting boards, hot pads, kitchen towels , dishtowels, and dish soap.
c. Living-room. Clock, Sleeper sofa (bed already made just fold out and grab a pillow from one of the bedrooms),new brown Leather Club Chair, new Chocolate Leather Rocker Recliner, 2 large and 3 small couch pillows, new throw blanket, new large ottoman (okay for seating up to 350 lbs), 4 lamps, two end tables, new 39” TV. , Several games, two decks of cards, welcome book, remote controls. (Brown for power and volume)
d. Laundry room. Located in hall, has iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, mop, bucket, broom, long cleaning wand, duster, laundry soap and fabric softener.
e. Bathroom. 5 towel sets with matching hand towels, and washcloths, liquid body and hair soap, blow-dryer, toilet paper.
f. Bedrooms. Each has a Queen bed, mattress protectors, pillows with pillow protectors, dresser drawers, chair, sheets and bed sets and spare sheet set and blanket in bedroom closet. Shades and blinds on each window and room darkening curtains in bedrooms.
There are many parks including Sterling State Park, and the Nation’s Newest State Park, River Raisin National Battlefield Park. Monroe Michigan is full of history and many war memorials. The YMCA is a short walk from the house along one of the lovely walking areas beside the River Raisin. There are several Golf Courses in and around Monroe. The post office is only a few blocks away and another two blocks to down town, a festive place with art festivals, music festivals, eateries, libations, second-hand shops, the River Raisin Center for the Arts, The Dorsch Memorial Library, and Churches of various denominations. Free Concerts occur across the river at St. Mary’s Park where the Jazz festival draws thousands for a weekend of top national performers as well as local artists.+ More
