Enjoy a stay on the SWMI Wine Trail, just two miles from Greenbush Brewery and Warren Dunes! Four Winds Casino, antiques, galleries, nature preserves, farm fresh food and so much more! Beaches for every mood and snowmobile trail-head parking nearby!
The Peacock Place Guest House sits off to the side behind the Main House, with it's own private parking lot and second driveway entrance. The outdoor space is surrounded with privacy fence along two 20'+ building sides, including a 200 sq foot furnished slab patio with grill, plus gardens and fire pit.
As you walk under the grand Maple tree, past the white picket fence, across the front covered porch, through the front door, you enter the living room. To the right is a full size hideabed couch, wall-mounted cable HDTV, sliding-glass doors to side garden entrance, (with wooden porch, trellis arch and fountain pond). Behind the bookcase living room wall is a sleeping area with bunk beds. To the left is a queen bed and three chairs. As you walk under the partial storage loft, to the left, you enter a room with radiant heat floor tiles with a table for four, fridge, dishes, etc. Passing through the pocket-door, you find the jacuzzi tub bathroom and back door opening onto the fenced-in patio, (with grill with Propane and long lighter in kitchen), and gardens that wrap around to the living room sliding door.
Beaches for every mood:
-Walk to Harbert Beach 1mi... (kids wagon, bikes, beach umbrella and chair, small cooler).
-Free parking for one car at our town's hidden gem, Cherry Beach, 1.5 miles away.
-Famous Warren Dunes State Park is only a 2mi drive- highly recommended and well worth the $8 entrance fee!
-Weko Beach in Bridgman is fun at sunset and the best dog beach access (to the left from the parking lot).
-Silver Beach in St. Joseph, near the fishing pier (permits required).
-- (Silver Lake has Four-wheeler trails for those of you in the know.)
Comcast Blast wifi and cable hd tv (includes sports package) with streaming movies in the living room. Let me know if you have any requests, as I would be happy to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Weekend, weekly, monthly, or spend the entire summer or winter. Security deposit is waived with damage protection insurance. Five night min rental prime summer, three night minimum on off season weekend, one night weekday. And, in the off-season, if you need sliding scale due to finance constraints, you may opt to have the cleaning fee reduced /refunded as an agreement to pick up after yourselves (if you do not require professional cleaning before your arrival, check in early to make beds, etc. . For any of these options, be sure to ask prior to booking.
Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 11am, Eastern Time. Please remember Chicago is Central time, one hour behind. There are information binders near the TV, including township good neighbor policy, menus, maps, attractions...
Because my guests have followed the simple house rules, I continue to pay more for cleaning than I charge you, in gratitude for your compliance. Rather than remake your beds before check-out, I request that you strip the sheets you slept on (laundry basket provided in armoire).
Recycling is also requested. Sorting is easy as I pay extra for the service that commingles. There is one trash bin per week, and three for recycling! If you plan to fill more than one garbage can, there is an actual cost of $45 per each additional.
Also, if you move furniture, blankets, toys, games, please put back.
And, please turn climate controls back, close windows and return beach pass and grill lighter to kitchen. Enjoy!
