My cabin is located in the Poker Bar community right off of Hwy 299 between Lewiston and Douglas City and is very cozy. It is located one block away from the infamous Poker Bar fishing hole and has kayak and boat access on or near the property. The cabin has lots of privacy, comfortable furniture, a front patio furnished deck and rear deck w/fire pit (in cooler weather). It's a great getaway for couples and small groups or business travelers. This cabin has a full kitchen with lots of amenities, propane BBQ on the front deck, fire pit on back deck; a full sized washer & dryer, DISH TV, Internet and a DVD/Blueray player with videos, high chair for toddlers, a mini split air conditioning/heating, inner tubes, and 2 bicycles available to use in the spring/summer. It's a perfect place to get away, "unplug" from the daily grind and enjoy serenity. It''s also a great place for fishermen/women wanting to enjoy what the river has to offer in terms of fishing, kayaking, rafting, as well as hiking, and enjoying the sites in the area.
The cabin can can comfortably sleep about 5 or 6 people (2 adults in the master queen bed, 2 adults each on the twin beds in the second bedroom and, as needed, 2 adults/child on a comfortable queen blowup mattress, and/or 1 adult/child on a full size comfy couch, 1 child on the loveseat.
The cabin is 12 miles east of Weaverville and 35 miles west of Redding. The area has a host of great restaurants, bars, annual craft fairs, special holiday events, a nice farmer's market in Weaverville on Wednesdays and in Hayfork on Fridays (May through mid-October), a great sports bar (Tangle Blues Saloon in Weaverville), the Art Walk the first weekends of the month and the wonderful Trinity Performing Arts center live music, comedy and live performances and events during the month.+ More
