3 hotel-like rooms along a hallway in the downstairs of a 2 level house. Perfect for group to rest before flight or tours. Between Seattle & the airport. 20-30 minutes drive to Seattle without traffic. 15 minutes to the airport. A few blocks from Lake WA so you may enjoy the views, parks & trails, restaurants & shopping around. A quiet neighborhood & serene home. One full bath and a small kitchenette. Cozy home with many amenities.
Want to catch some zzzz's before an early morning flight, a business conference, or a full day's tourist attractions? Here is the most cozy comfy unit for you to relax in serenity to prepare yourselves for the busy day ahead!
If you have the luxury of some leisure time in the neighborhood, walk or ride over to Lake Washington a short ways away, watch views of the lake, Mt. Rainier, and people(!) from lakeside parks and trails, fancy restaurants, and Starbucks hangouts. Shop til you drop with 2 large plazas (the Landing and Westfield) nearby too! Enjoy!
New house that is in the south end of Seattle, near Renton, Boeing, Paccar, and Seatac Airport. True, it is not central Seattle at the foot of the space needle, but travel distance from here to downtown Seattle is less than 30 min. without traffic congestion.
ENTIRE LEVEL DOWNSTAIRS of a 2 level house
You have the entire main lower level downstairs of this two level house that works like a duplex. You have no stairs to take, just go to the slippers at the foyer. There are three bedrooms, one full bath, one kitchenette (which means a tiny kitchenette, not a full kitchen), one mini fridge along one hallway. Not a huge unit, sf for your area downstairs is around 950.
Each of the 3 Bedrooms has a queen bed. One of them also has a futon.
No dining area. No living room or area where everyone may congregate, maybe you just want to use one of the larger bedrooms as a gathering room if needed.
Apple TV (around 36 inches I believe) in one of the rooms.
You can also do Netflix or use free WIFI to stream movies etc.
I AM UPSTAIRS in this house S side of Seattle and share the same keyless entry in the foyer with you. While this is not an actual duplex, you do get to enjoy all the physical space on the lower level to yourselves. Sound travels regardless though, so all of us will have to be considerate in that regard.
TRANSPORTATION & FREE PARKING
Drive to downtown Seattle: 20-25 minutes minimum if no congestion; 12 miles. Drive to Seattle Tacoma Airport: 12-15 minutes; 8 miles.
Drive to Renton's The Landing, Southcenter Mall, Boeing, and highways to Bellevue: a few minutes.
Bus at the corner of the house. Take this bus then a transfer to downtown Seattle. You can also take this bus to nearby lightrail station (4 miles away. No parking at Rainier Beach station and parking is available at the Tukwila station lot if you can beat the commuters) or the Renton Transit Center (2 miles away and you can also drive and park there), both spots have plenty of public transportation to take you to Seattle, the airport etc.
Lyft is less than $20 to or from the airport. Use promo code: MAIRBNB for $15 off your 1st ride.
It's about 50 to 70 minutes to downtown Seattle by public transportation. I have the public transportation schedules here for you to see or borrow. King County Trip Planner offers best online information. Get their app.
Those who have used public transportation from the home find it very easy, but driving is always the easiest. Just be aware that while parking off street at this home is free and hassle-free, parking in downtown Seattle will cost you a pretty penny and sometimes more time than it's worth.
Plenty of off-street parking. Park at the end of my driveway (North side which is closer to the water view) so long as you don't block my driveway and garage.
WITHIN 5 MINUTES: ATTRACTIONS & AMENITIES
When not visiting Seattle's typical attractions or working long hours during your stint here, you may want to sample the upscale restaurants, shops, or work out at the nearby Landing, walk around Lake Washington and see the small planes slide across water, visit local trails and parks. Lots of Starbucks and coffee afficiandos' hangout spots here too of course! Seattle is latte-land!
Two blocks from the house, along the main thoroughfare Rainier Avenue, are small general stores, a laundromat, and a Thai restaurant in case you need them. (There are many more better alternatives that I would try by driving or taking the bus, so these are only good for dire needs.)
KITCHENETTE -- not for cooking full meals please
At this level, there is a refrigerator and a small kitchenette with sink, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, IH cooktop. There is kitchenware in the cabinets and drawer. Let me know if you need anything else. But I do hope you don't spend too much time cooking here – because you're in beautiful Seattle with so much to do! Go online and search for those endless Seattle attractions! I have pamphlets and brochures too.
There's usually some coffee, candy etc around. There's a Brita water container for you to use. You have extra blankets, towel, and pillows in your room closet. Check the storage area by the frig for portable heaters, fans, iron, ironing board, and more. Hair dryer in moon console.
13 MRV allergen-free and highly rated filtered clean heat/air to keep you from coughing and other unwelcomed symptoms.
Some smart lighting where lights automatically go on or off for you.
