This is a spacious light-filled 3 bedroom 2 bathroom 1000 sq feet apartment in Weehawken, NJ. It is 10 min bus ride to Midtown near Times Square via the Lincoln Tunnel. As surprising as it may seem, this place is closer to Manhattan than other places located in Upper Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx.
Our apartment is 2 blocks away from the first bus stop after boarding from Port Authority Bus terminal in Manhattan. (Read further down for more details about transportation)
The Rooms The Master bedroom is very spacious, bright and quiet. The room has a queen size bed, feather pillows and a cozy feather duvet. There's also a large closet and your own private bathroom. Plenty of space for a third person if they don't mind sleeping on the sofa (in this room) or on a roll away cot.
The second and third bedroom share the second full bath. One bedroom has a king size bed, the other has a queen bed. Both bedrooms are spacious with large closets.
You don't have to bring bed linens, towels or a hair dryer, we will provide you with fluffy clean towels and all you need to feel comfortable and at home!
The house is equipped with central heat and air conditioning. High speed wireless internet, and other convenient things like iron, city guides, maps, etc. are provided.
Feel free to message me if you need any further details.
- Minimum stay 3 nights
Many ask about the price and extra fees and how to pay. When you put in the dates and number of people you will get our total cost. There are no taxes on top of this.
All the payments are safely made with credit card to VRBO/HomeAway when booking. They hold the money until the day you check in and will then transfer it to us.
This being said, if we manage to re-rent the place the nights you have canceled we can give a bigger refund to you than what the strict cancellation policy dictates. The earlier you cancel the bigger the chance that we will find other guests.
DEPOSIT is held and automatically refunded 7 days after checkout.
Please note that 11am check out strictly enforced as the apartment takes time to prepare for our next guests. Unlike a hotel with many rooms to juggle around, it's just this apartment, so we need to leave enough time to prepare it.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
Q: How will I get the keys?
A: Once the booking is complete I will invite you to view and download an app about the apartment. In that app you’ll get info on how to find the keys and access the apartment. There are two keys - one for for the building door and the other key for the upstairs. You will have TWO sets of keys for your stay.
Q. Is there a supermarket nearby?
A: Yes, there’s a massive supermarket 8 blocks away that is open from 7am to midnight and lots of smaller shops as well.
Q: Is it near the subway?
A: We are across the river from midtown, but there is no subway access (yet). Instead, we commute by the super awesome “chicken buses” or private jitney buses, that run every 5 minutes, all day and all night. As in 24/7 access. The cost is $3 per trip and I’ll send you detailed info once you’ve booked.
Q: Do you have an elevator?
A: Nope. But I am happy to help you carry luggage up the stairs if needed, we can make arrangements. I promise it's not a big deal it’s about 15 steps.
Q: Is the neighborhood safe?
A: Weehawken Heights is a very comfortable and easy place to be in. There are tons of families, professionals, apartments, private houses and the streets are well lit. You can walk home at any time of the night and not be bothered.
Q: Do I need to bring towels, a hair dryer, or linens?
A: Nope! I provide all these things. Same with basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo, hand soap
Q: Will I have a key? Can I come and go as I please?
A: Yes and yes. And I wouldn't trust any listing with which this isn't the case.
Q: Can my friend sleep on the sofa?
A: I’m very particular about the guest count. You may only have the number of guests stay that you booked for. What if there is an emergency and we need to evacuate the building? Don’t you want me to know how many people are there? Please communicate with me if you have a last minute friend want to stay with you.
Q: What's my total booking price? A: Hosts see a different screen then guests. You’ll see the final price on the pre-approval quote, or you can check the final price yourself by entering your dates and the number of guests. The system will calculate the amount and show you the total (but it won’t show me the final total as I don’t see the service fee). figure should be present after you enter your dates.
Q: Does the apartment look the same as the photos?
A: Yes, the pictures were taken by a professional photographer. I may change around the linens or move some cushions around, but it looks like the pictures.
One last thing: Because you read this entire listing to the end, you get bonus points for your ability to follow directions. To redeem them (for increased chance of booking!) just include the phrase “I read the FAQs!" at the top of your message.+ More
