Located 10 minutes from Keewatin on Darlington Bay this 2200 ft2 executive cabin, features 4 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, large kitchen, open living room and dinning room with vaulted ceilings, laundry room, workout area, and home theatre.
Bedrooms: 2 upstairs, one with a queen bed and one with a single as well as a bunk bed. 2 on walkout level, one room has a king bed, one has a queen. In the summer the playhouse and cabana on the lake both have a futons in them. We also have a blow up mattress for additional guests.
Kitchen: Has all modern amenities including granite counters, newer stainless steel appliances, a Bosche dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, Tassimo, Verisimo, toaster oven, kettle, microwave, blender, as well as all dish ware and utensils. South facing garden doors open to a large 2nd floor deck with lounging, dining and bbq areas.
There is free high speed wireless internet, satellite tv, one 55" lcd tv and one 50" lcd projector, with xbox, dvd player with movies and bell satellite and theatre surround sound. Nautilus work out area with squat rack and dumbells. The main cabin is air conditioned as well.
Down at the dock there is over 1500 sq ft of dock space including elevated tanning deck, small hot tub (seasonal) and a small cabana with fridge, stereo, vaulted ceilings a sink and futon. Guests are welcome to use 3 kayaks, paddle board, and water carpet. Our 16 foot aluminum fishing boat is also available for rent at a charge of $120 day or $500/week.
About the area: Water depth at the end of the dock ranges from 15-20 feet. The shoreline is rocky but there are a couple of sand beaches nearby. Water temperature is usually around 75-80 mid summer and usually about 5 degrees warmer than Lake of the Woods or the Winnipeg River down stream because we are fed by a smaller lake. Fishing and hunting in the area are world class with many master anglers caught right of the dock. 50 inch plus Muskies and Northern pikes caught nearby. The waterfront cabana is also winterized with heated tile floors.
Outside there is a fire pit, trampoline and a lower deck. Cottage is situated on a 2 acre lot within a nature conservancy, there are no neigbors on one side and complete privacy from the others.+ More
