ABOUT THE HOUSE
You will find hushed seclusion in this traditional two-story Tahoe cabin from 1920, with all the modern amenities, right on the lake.
The main entry leads to a rustic eat-in kitchen with wooden cabinets, full-size appliances including a gas range, and a shelf stocked with herbs and spices.
A window side dining area has a wooden eight-seater table for group meals and planning your next big day of exploration.
From here, head through to a snug living room with wood-paneled walls. Two soft couches and an armchair sit before a wood-burning fireplace—the perfect place to get cozy on chilly winter nights.
Need some privacy to work or study? Set up camp in the home office next door, furnished with a desk area and a comfy couch.
A separate sitting area offers another spot to relax with three chairs and a maroon love seat. Watch TV on a 30" flat screen Apple TV with cable, or grab a novel from the bookshelves.
But the star attraction of this home awaits outdoors. A patio right beside the lake offers a picture-perfect setting for reading, lazing in the sun, and family meals.
Dig into lunch around a picnic table, or gather around the four-seater glass-top dining table. Later, fire up your private hot tub and enjoy a soak beneath the bubbles.
On the main floor, the master bedroom offers a queen-size bed, armchair and a closet for guest storage. Wake each day to the sight of the lake glittering outside your window. There is also a full bath with glass shower.
On the second level of the house, you’ll find the remaining bedrooms. A guest bedroom with lake views features two twin beds, a dresser and storage closet. The third bedroom (also with lake views) has a queen-size bed with pretty floral linens, a dresser, closet and a window side bench.
Kids can clamber into a twin-over-twin bunk bed in the fourth bedroom, also featuring a table, closet, and a small sink beside the bed.
Next, there’s a half bath and further along you can freshen up in thee clawfoot tub in it's own room.
If you’re arriving during ski season, you can reach the slopes of Northstar, Squaw and Alpine within a 20-30 minute drive. You’re also just a 4-minute drive from Burton Creek State Park - offering 6 miles of hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails.
When temperatures climb, take your towel to the golden shores of a local beach. Travel 15 minutes to famous King’s Beach - a great spot for families with a children’s playground and nearby grab-and-go eateries. Or stay close to home at your own private beach just steps away.
After a morning sprawled out on the sand, take a parasailing ride or splash around on Lake Tahoe with paddleboard and kayak rentals.
When you get hungry, there’s an eclectic dining scene within a 5-minute drive of home. Dig into Californian and Hawaiian dishes at Jake's On the Lake, head to Christy Hill for an elegant French-inspired menu, or sample fragrant curries, salads and stir-fries at Thai Kitchen Restaurant.
