We are spending the summer out of town so we are renting our beautiful, sun-filled West Hollywood townhouse. We moved in last year, and we love being able to walk to Whole Foods, Rite Aid, and all the great restaurants, bars, and cafés of West Hollywood. The two story house was restored in 2016 and is in an historic 1925 townhouse complex with a charming shared garden and courtyard, plus a private deck that is lovely for coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening. A coveted 1920s California original with 2016 finishes.
The townhouse is two stories (1200 square feet), plus the private deck. The kitchen, dining room, living room, and a half bathroom are downstairs. Upstairs are the master bedroom, the study/guest room with a comfy fold-out couch, and a full bathroom (plus the washer-dryer). Artful remodel of kitchen and bathrooms features high-end finishes: Ann Sacks, Walker Zanger and Granada tiles, Kohler and Duravit fixtures, Bosch and Fisher Paykel appliances. All complemented by custom cabinets, custom closets, carrera marble, refinished hardwood floors, charming built ins. Central HVAC, tankless water heater and a stackable upstairs laundry.
Your home for the summer. There is a washer/dryer inside apartment, one parking spot in the garage, and a guest permit for street parking.
We have central air (and heat in case you get chilly), and new appliances including chef's range stove and dishwasher. We share a charming landscaped courtyard with our neighbors, and the private deck is all yours.
Interaction with guests
This is your home for the summer (although we will obviously be available if you have questions).
The neighborhood is dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and grownup-friendly--we love living here. The house is located in the heart of West Hollywood, a dynamic community between Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Our townhouse is located on a quiet residential street, just a short walk (one city block) from vibrant Santa Monica Blvd. Whole Foods is half a block away. Coffee, shopping, yoga, gyms, restaurants, and bars are all within easy walking distance. Great hiking at Trebek Open space (less than 1 mile away), Runyon Canyon (under 2 miles away), Griffith Park (15 minutes drive), and the broader Hollywood Hills are all nearby. The Grove, LACMA, and the Hollywood Bowl, as well as Grauman's Chinese Theater, Dolby, Hollywood Walk of Stars, and other event and tourist attractions are all less than 2 miles away. Parks and tennis courts abound. The famous Sunset Strip is only two blocks away, including the Chateau Marmont, comedy clubs, the Viper Room, The London Hotel, The Standard, Book Soup, Sunset Tower Hotel, Soho House, and more. Los Angeles' beaches are under 10 miles away, while the Santa Monica Mountains can be reached in no time via the Hollywood Freeway- which also provides quick access to tourist destinations such as Universal Studios and Harry Potter World (just over 3 miles away across the Hollywood Hills).
We offer our guests two parking spots, one in the resident garage, and one in resident-only street parking. Uber and Lyft have really opened LA up as well, and public transportation (bus and subway) are available nearby.+ More
