Our 2 cozy waterfront cabins are waiting for your arrival! The sea lions serenade us with their barking, and there is always something to watch in the harbour -- kayakers, commercial fish boats, the whale watching fleet. In the neighbourhood are always Bald eagles, a very cute young raccoon, along with the resident deer wandering around town and the family of river otters living under the dock next door. We are truly Wildlife Central; don't forget your camera!
Our 2 cabins are just a few steps down to the beach, near the mouth of Ucluelet Harbour. They are totally self-contained cabins, each with a Queen bed, kitchenette and 3-piece bathroom; one is 13 years old and the second identical cabin is now 11 years old. Just the right size for two people, they are tailor-made for the perfect romantic getaway. Privacy is respected; the cabins are on opposite corners of a half acre waterfront property, so they are private from each other with a barrier of trees in between as well. Both are pet-friendly, with a gate to keep Fido contained with you while enjoying the cabin.
Our one-bedroom suite is totally self-contained and much larger than the cabins, with a separate bedroom, full kitchen, full bathroom and living area; it has its own deck with barbecue and exclusive use of a hot tub. We installed an ultra-violet system so there are no more chemicals, and the water smells and feels really soft. The suite is a great option for those who like to spread out a little, or stay a little longer! It is the ground level of our house, situated between the two cabins to retain its view, and set back about 20 feet. It's extremely sound-proof, so don't worry about cranking up the tunes or the TV. The suite is pet-friendly too!
Things To Do
There is a lot to do once you arrive here on the West Coast: sports include kayaking, surfing, fishing, scuba diving, sailing, biking, and even extreme mountain biking. More passive activities include whale watching, beach combing, bird watching, and growing in popularity each winter is storm watching. You'll definitely need more than a 2-night stay to see and do all the wonderful things the Pacific Rim has to offer!
Ucluelet's pride and joy is the Wild Pacific Trail; several sections include the 45-minute loop around Amphitrite Point Lighthouse. Much of the trail is on a rugged cliff overlooking the ocean (great for storm watching!) and most of it is right along the water's edge.
One of Ucluelet's must-see is our Aquarium; you won't believe how many displays and touch tanks there are in there! Located at the foot of Main Street on the harbour promenade, it's open March through October, at which time the town's residents come down for "release day" and set free all the specimens that resided there back to the ocean from whence they came.
Great view, with fishboats coming and going, as well as wildlife â?? sea lions hauled out on the dock nearby, a family of river otters who live under the neighbourâ??s dock, lots of birds including Eagles, Kingfishers, herons & Stellars Jays.
Large sundeck with 2-person jetted soaker tub, BBQ, bistro set, and privacy screen of trees. Nicely appointed, with all towels & linens provided. Lots of extras such as binoculars, flashlight, CDs, silk flowers, candles, hairdryer, etc.

TV/DVD on swivel bracket to watch from bed or nook; stereo & CD player; some CDs & DVDs are provided.
Electric fireplace with multiple settings â?? flame and/or heat. The cabin is heated with a thermostat controlled electric baseboard, as well as one in the bathroom. Down duvet and pillows on the Queen bed, or hypo-allergenic upon request. Unlimited hot water â?? the cabins are equipped with propane-fired hot water systems.
Walking distance to Main Street, the Wild Pacific Trail, the Ucluelet Aquarium, and all shops & amenities, you'll find us very centrally located while feeling away from the retail district. It is a 15-minute drive to Long Beach & Pacific Rim National Park, and a half hour drive to Tofino.+ More
