Outside, warm yourself at the fire pit, relax on the back deck or front porch, or feed the resident goats and chickens if you wish. Enjoy the unique large boulders in the landscape, and the artwork in the interior of this true Arts and Crafts gem. Both bedrooms have comfortable queen beds and jacuzzi tubs in both bathrooms. Large kitchen with stainless steel appliances and washer and dryer. Large open great room and dining area. Coffee, tea, towels, and sheets are all provided.
I stay on the property adjacent to the house on a small homestead when I am renting the main farmhouse out. I respect your privacy and will not come over unless you need something or have a question. In fact, I rarely even meet my guests. I am happy to be available anytime for questions and needs that may arise.
No windy, steep roads to go down to get here! Located on a dead end street in the beautiful, historic Swannanoa Valley, the home is less than 10 minutes to Asheville, 10 minutes to Black Mountain, 2 minutes to the hiking trails at Warren Wilson College, and 3 minutes to the hiking trails of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Plenty of parking, near the bus line, and hardly any traffic on the East side of Asheville.
Other things to note-
1)There is a mini farm in the back yard with two goats and two chickens. They are very friendly and sweet. Most people actually say that the goats are the highlight of their stay! The goats names are Chloe and Willis. The chickens names are Holdout and Cluck Norris. If you would like to feed the goats, which everyone does, it is really easy. It is like feeding a dog. I will send feeding instructions upon check in. If you do not wish to feed them, I can come over every morning around the side of the house and feed them myself. You can feed them leftovers and so forth as well. They love nuts and berries. Really just about anything.
2) I do have a $30 fee for extra guests over 4, and this includes babies and children. Thank you for notifying me of any children and dogs that will be staying and please sign up with vrbo appropriately.
3)There is hi-speed internet access, and surround sound stereo, but there is NO TELEVISION. I feel like it takes away from the farmhouse experience so I choose not to have one.
Please treat the house as you would that of a close friend or family member. I would like to find the house very close to the condition in which I left it. House Rules-
-The small loft is a private storage area and is off limits
-Some dogs are allowed, we just have to talk about it, but they MUST stay out of the goat pen, no matter how sweet they are or whatever.
-Smoking is allowed only outdoors or on either porch (please use the ashtrays provided).
-The chimney is old so absolutely no fires allowed (use the nice fire pit outside instead)
-Np parties or events allowed+ More
