Private two bedroom, 800 square foot panabode cottage in a unique setting at Bass Lake between Owen Sound and Wiarton.
This compact cottage uses features such as cathedral ceilings, solid pine walls, and skylights in the main living area to create a bright open atmosphere. The ample windows allow natural light to filter into the room. There is plenty of space for everyone in the party to unwind on the couch and two arm chairs. Here you can enjoy the glow of the fire in the woodstove on a cool evening, or catch up on your reading. The outside deck is accessed through this room.
At the other end of the living area is a dining table with seating for everyone in your party to enjoy a meal or a game of cards.
The galley style kitchen comes complete with all the necessities including fridge, stove and microwave. An open butler's window provides a view into the main living area and helps to open up the feel of the kitchen.
There are two bedrooms at the cottage. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two singles. The one bathroom at the cottage is a three piece with large shower with both a rainshower head and handheld.
The large deck, with beautiful lake views at the cottage, is sheltered from the wind by trees and is the ideal spot to BBQ and enjoy an outdoor meal at the picnic table.
Take the trail down to the lakefront. This trail is about 100 feet leading to the water and is rough terrain through boulders, and is therefore not suitable for toddlers or people with mobility issues.
Once you reach the shoreline, enjoy the dock at the water's edge. The depth of the water provides a great place to dive into the lake and is sure to be a hit with the swimmers in your group. There is great fishing right off the end of the dock.
Bass Lake has a maximum depth of 100 feet and is a great inland lake for swimmers. The cottage is centrally located between Wiarton and Owen Sound, making day trips to hot spots like Tobermory and Sauble Beach easy.

The lake is deep off the dock. There is a spot next to the dock where kids and pets can wade in but it mostly rocks and not really a play area. Swim Shoes are recommended. Shoreline is not suitable for toddlers.+ More
