The Whip O Will is located in a sandy cove on Sabbathday Lake in New Gloucester, Maine, home of the nearby Sabbathday Lake Shakers.
This lake front beach house offers the best of both worlds: an oasis of peace and quiet that is still within striking distance of Portland, Freeport, the White Mountains, and the Maine coast. Listen to the loons every morning and night while enjoying direct access to the private association-shared swimming beach.
You can use the house as a home base to enjoy Maine's blue skies in the summer, peep at spectacular foliage in the fall, Ice fish or ski and snowmobile in the winter.
The kitchen features a full gas stove, refrigerator, and microwave and is stocked with all the necessary cookware and tableware.
There is a bright and airy dining and living room with a 180-degree view of the lake and the great outdoors. We provide a canoe, a gas grill for outdoor cooking, and everything you'll need for your getaway, including linen and towels.
The main house has full a bath, one bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a sleeping loft with one queen-size and one twin-size futon sofa.
There is a washer and dryer, Wifi, and Flat screen smart TV.
A separate studio apartment with a private entrance has an open-concept layout with full bath, one full-size bed, and a pull-out full-size couch.
