Our Casita/Cottage is centrally located in the city of Atascadero at the top of the beautifully appointed Las Lomas Residential neighborhood. It is roughly 3-5 minutes (max) off the 101 Fwy but once you're up on the top of our quiet and private cul-de-sac, it seems much further away. You can travel in any direction and explore some great places in San Luis Obispo County.
We have no neighbors to the front of us as it is all protected oak preserve and leads down to the Salinas River (seen flowing during the rainy season), and we have no direct neighbors behind us as we sit on over an acre of oak studded land. We are at the top of the neighborhood and look down upon Atascadero, the 101 fwy, the Santa Lucia Mountain Range and our own land. The Casita and it's patio have the best view on the property!
Panoramic view of the city and hills of Atascadero. There are a number of oak trees protected by an oak preserve on the property, which gives the back yard a park like setting. You have an unobstructed view of the gorgeous night sky and city lights in the distance. We have no street lights and it's simply beautiful & perfect for astrophotography. Most of all, your own privacy!
Tables, chairs and patio umbrellas are available for outdoor use. Lie in the hammock to soak up the sun and listen to the sounds of our koi pond. We have migrating birds from the entire west coast. Orioles, blue birds, grosbeaks, etc. In the early mornings or near sunset, have your drinks, relax on the back patio while catching the deer, wild turkey, resident quail and other wildlife passing right through the yard and drink from our large flowing fountain. In the evenings, you can hear the foxes and coyotes calling in the distance from the riverbed or the owls hooting & screeching while they are perched in our oak trees. We also have a nature walking path on property boundary line. Outdoors = grass lawn, furnished patio right off the Casita, patio swing, hammock & umbrellas, fire pit, tiki torches, fountain, BBQ's (1 propane, 1 large round charcoal/wood). Second patio off of the main home with a larger table and view of the large flowing water fountain/pond. Driveway parking.
Spend a quiet getaway in our comfortable, clean, one level Casita.
