Please shop for grceries before you get into town! There is a small market in La Conner, but may not have all you are looking for. They are great for ice, milk and bread but are a bit more expensive. I usually shop in Marysville at the Albertsons or Haggans in Burlington. You will need to provide your own paper products (paper towels and napkins) Toilet paper will be in all bathrooms. Fishing, crabbing and clam digging is available on the shores but make sure to get a proper fishing licence and know the rules! Check Fish & Game website for more info. Also, check on seasons and dates for crabbing. The bay is perfect for kayaking or stand up paddle boarding - bring your own! There are many festivals in the area with the most famous being the Tulip Festival in April.
