The Space

Twin Pines Cabin is a charming wood-paneled cabin with all the comforts of home. Recently remodeled exterior and newly furnished interior is comfortably equipped for a relaxing mountain getaway. Well-equipped kitchen comes with everything you’ll need to indulge your culinary desires. Twin Pines Cabin is perfectly located for skiing, snowboarding, golfing or long hikes in the woods as all are within walking distance to the cabin. In the convenient Lower Moonridge area of Big Bear, you will find yourself mere minutes from the excitement of The Village shops and restaurants yet nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood one block from the national forest and less than half a mile from Bear Mountain ski resort.

The cozy living room is a great place for the family to gather and relax in front of a roaring fireplace. The view of our twin pines through the front glass door makes you feel as though the cabin is nestled in the heart of the forest.

The exterior boasts a large front deck and convenient LEVEL two car drive-up parking. No scary traveling up and down icy roads or climbing up long flights of steps!

Guest Access

Guests will have access to a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of herbs and spices, pots, pans, bakeware, appliances and full-sized stove and refrigerator. Breakfast can be waffles made with our waffle can be a hearty stew made with our family-sized crockpot.

The loft has a full array of entertainment for your family to enjoy. It features a Wii gaming system with video games in stock. You'll also find several board games, cards and puzzles to wile away the hours when all you want to do is stay indoors and be cozy near the fire.

Need to get some work done while vacationing or want to do some online shopping? Connect to our wireless internet on your smartphone, tablet or laptop and surf the web or remote access your work.

Snuggle down in the evenings with some popcorn and watch streaming movies on either Netflix or Hulu+. Make a quick run to the nearby Redbox and rent a movie to play in our DVD.

Not in the mood for a movie? Take one of our folding chairs out to the deck with one of our down lap blankets and listen to the coyotes howl and see the stars fill the sky.

The Neighborhood

“Lower Moonridge” is the portion of the Moonridge area that is situated between Moonridge Road and Bear Mountain resort, backing to the National Forest on the south. It’s a more “level” area than other parts of Moonridge, and is within walking distance to skiing, golf, and hiking trails.

A portion of Lower Moonridge was one of the first to be subdivided in the area, and offers compact-size lots with true “mountain cabins.” Views in this area are mainly neighborhood and trees, and the area is densely populated with gorgeous pines and oaks.

Lower Moonridge offers a great “mountain feel” with easy access, and as such is a popular location for vacation cabins and vacation rentals. Full-time residences in the area range from small to medium in size, with the eclectic mix of styles that Moonridge is famous for. Cute log-faced cabins share the block with vintage charmers, Victorians, Gambrels and “mountain style” designs.

Bear Mtn. winter resort, the Bear Mtn golf course, and Big Bear Alpine Zoo are all just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from Lower Moonridge, or walk to the Bear Mtn/Snow Summit shuttle. The small business district in lower Moonridge offers select professional services, ski and board rental shops, and one of Big Bear’s favorite deli's!

The area is just minutes by car to Snow Summit, the lake and marinas, supermarkets and banking and the “downtown” Village.

Getting around

During ski season, free shuttle service to Snow Summit is available and just a two-minute drive from the cabin.

Mountain Area Regional Transit Authority (MARTA) provides local and Dial-a-Ride bus service to the Big Bear Valley, Running Springs, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline and Off-the-Mountain service to San Bernardino

Excellent cabin!

The house is in very good location, close to the slopes and in excellent condition. The master bedroom felt like home, with nice setting and the electrical candles made it romantic and very cozy! The upstairs room was so cute and very comfortable. Having 2 restrooms was perfect for our family. We loved the games for the kids, the Wii upstairs and t... Read More
