The largest and arguably most romantic city in Québec is Montréal. Historic neighbourhoods, cobbled streets and artist boroughs make this place an eclectic mix of old and modern that works for residents and visitors. This year make your plans to come and experience summer Montréal style.
Seeing Montréal is easy when you rent a Bixi bike. Follow one of the many bike paths through the city. Canals, mountains, parks and streets are waiting to be explored. Bike along the St. Lawrence River or down the narrow cobblestone streets of Old Québec. Exercise, vitamin D and thrilling scenery- you get it all on a bike.
Le Mondial de la Bière is a huge festival for beer lovers. During the summer the festival hosts beer makers from around Québec to come and show off their hops and brews. Visitors can sample the brews for about 2-5 tickets per bottle. Tickets are $1 each. Come and see how your favorite summer ale is produced at this event.
Grab your swim suit and a group of friends and spend the day at Clock Tower Beach. Open in May and closing in September this beach is a wonderful place to relax with some friends, sangria, and cool water. It is also very cheap- a season pass is only $15!
For a great way to beat the heat, grab your family and join in a huge water gun fight on July 4th. Thousands of people shoot it out in pure summer fun. Or choose to slip and bounce down the 1000 foot slide on a tube. The giant slide is set up in the city during the summer. Guests grab an inner tube and bounce their way down.
