Our house is located in the laid-back residential neighborhood of Cannonborough / Elliotborough, close to all the best things to do in downtown Charleston. The area is full of popular local eateries, including 5 Loaves, known as one of the best restaurants in Charleston and great for a casual bite to eat. For fine dining, we recommend heading to Trattoria Lucca, a fantastic Italian restaurant near the MUSC campus. For those with a sweet tooth, make sure to check out Sugar Bakeshop on Cannon Street, a friendly neighborhood bakeshop offering a variety of homemade treats, all made with local, fresh ingredients. In the evening, have fun hanging out at D’Allesandro’s, a lively pizzeria serving local beers and gourmet pizzas.
If you like shopping, we recommend walking six blocks to upper King Street where you’ll find a variety of great shops, including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques. We also recommend heading to Spring Street where you’ll find Rogue Wave, a great surf shop with new and vintage surfboards and clothing, and Continuum Skate Shop.
