New fully furnished conveniently located downtown condo. 3 bedroom 2 full baths, 2 parking spaces, one indoor, one outdoor. Washer and dryer and dishwasher in unit. Basic cable, Internet, WiFi, comfortable beds! 30 minutes from Calgary International Airport and an hour to drive to Banff.
This condo is brand new and extremely clean. I am pretty particular about my places, and have high expectations of guests in terms of cleanliness and responsibility. For example, I do not allow outdoor shoes to be worn inside the unit. The unit is carpeted and I want it to remain in good condition.
Below is some information you should read before you check in. If you have any questions, I will be sure to help you out.
HERE ARE THE RULES SOME RULES FOR YOUR STAY AT 3208-625 GLENBOW DRIVE, COCHRANE. IT IS THE 3000 BUILDING, THE SECOND FLOOR. TURN LEFT COMING OUT OF THE ELEVATOR AND IT IS THE FIRST UNIT ON THE RIGHT.
REMOVE YOUR OUTDOOR SHOES OR BOOTS AT THE DOOR AFTER YOU COME IN. NO OUTDOOR SHOES TO BE WORN INSIDE.
THE UNIT DOOR IS HYDRAULIC AND CLOSES AUTOMATICALLY. OPEN THE DOOR MOST OF THE WAY, AND JUST LET IT CLOSE NATURALLY. IT WILL CLOSE SECURELY BY ITSELF.
KEEP THE THERMOSTAT AT NO LESS THAN 65 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT OR ABOUT 18-19 DEGREES CELSIUS DURING THE WINTER SO THE PIPES DO NOT FREEZE. NEVER LEAVE WINDOWS OPEN FOR PROLONGED PERIODS OF TIME DURING THE WINTER OR OVERNIGHT IN FREEZING WEATHER. IF YOU LEAVE THE CONDO, MAKE SURE ALL OF THE WINDOWS ARE CLOSED TIGHTLY. THIS IS IN ORDER TO KEEP THE PIPES FROM FREEZING AND BURSTING. ALSO ALBERTA WEATHER IS VERY UNPREDICTABLE AND RAINSTORMS CAN COME ON VERY SUDDENLY.
NOTE THAT THE WINDOWS DO NOT OPEN MORE THAN ABOUT 6 INCHES. IT IS A NEW ALBERTA SAFETY AND BUILDING CODE.
THERE IS NO A/C. ALBERTA DOES NOT USUALLY GET TOO HOT EXCEPT FOR A FEW DAY IN SUMMER. THERE ARE FANS IN EACH BEDROOM.
IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO DUST, YOU MIGHT WANT TO SWIFFER THE FLOORS AND VACUUM THE CARPET TO KEEP THE DUST DOWN. THE SWIFFER AND VACUUM ARE LOCATED IN THE UTILITY CLOSET OFF THE KITCHEN.
YOU MAY HAVE ACCESS TO ONE OR TWO PARKING SPACES. THE FIRST SPOT IS #126 AND IS THE SPACE IMMEDIATELY TO YOUR RIGHT ALONG THE FENCE AS YOU ENTER THE DRIVEWAY OFF GLENBOW DRIVE. THE SECOND SPOT IS #228 IN THE UNDERGROUND PARKING. YOU MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE SECOND SPOT. YOU NEED A REMOTE CONTROL TO ENTER AND EXIT. PLEASE CHECK WITH THE HOST.
ALSO PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO ANY NOTES POSTED IN OR BY THE ELEVATORS OR IN THE LOBBY AS THERE MAY BE SNOW REMOVAL, CLEANING OF THE PARKING LOT OR THE PARKING GARAGE AND YOU MAY BE REQUIRED TO TEMPORARILY MOVE YOUR CAR. IF YOU ARE REQUIRED TO DO SO, AND YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL BE FINED AND/OR TOWED. PLEASE CHECK WITH THE HOST ON WHERE TO PARK IF YOU ARE REQUIRED TO MOVE YOUR VEHICLE.
PLEASE DO NOT DISPOSE OF ANY OIL OR GREASE, COFFEE GRINDS, TEA OR TEA LEAVES, ONIONS, GARLIC, BONES, GREASE, RICE, POTATO PEELS, FRUIT PITS, STINKY FOODS, FISH, OR MEAT, ETC. IN THE SINK DRAIN. PUT SUCH WASTE INTO THE GARBAGE AND TAKE THE GARBAGE OUT TO THE DUMPSTER ON A DAILY BASIS. THE DUMPSTERS ARE LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE PARKING LOT INSIDE A BUILDING THAT SAYS “MUSTER POINT”. TO ENTER, PRESS 3 & 5 AT THE SAME TIME, THEN PRESS 4, AND THE DOOR WILL BE OPEN. PLEASE RESPECT THE GARBAGE RULES POSTED AND DISPOSE OF GARBAGE PROPERLY. DO NOT LEAVE ANY PROHIBITED ITEMS IN THE GARBAGE. CHECK THE SIGNS.
TAKE YOUR GARBAGE OUT ON A DAILY BASIS AND PUT A NEW PLASTIC LINER IN THE BIN UNDER THE SINK.
Clean up kitchen after each use. Wipe the counters and dry the water around the faucets after each use, wipe up the floor, wipe fridge handles, and clean the stove if you have used it, especially grease splatter. Please wipe up immediately if you spill or drop anything.
Don't leave open or uncovered food in the fridge. Cover it with wrap or a dish or put it in a sealed container.
ALWAYS COVER FOOD WHEN HEATING OR COOKING IN THE MICROWAVE. USE THE SUPPLIED MICROWAVE-SAFE COVER TO COVER FOODS IN THE MICROWAVE TO PREVENT SPLATTER. Cupboards and drawers are self-closing. Don’t force them.
After you have used the washer, always leave the washer door ajar. Never close it completely because it need to dry out so it doesn’t smell or grow mildew.
MAKE SURE LINT IS REMOVED FROM DRYER AFTER EACH USE.
PLEASE FASTEN SNAPS ON JEANS AND DO UP ZIPPERS, BUTTONS, AND BRAS, ETC. TO KEEP THEM FROM GETTING CAUGHT ON THE INSIDE OF THE WASHER OR DRYER AND TO REDUCE THE NOISE OF THE DRYER.
DON'T WASH ANY LARGE ITEMS IN THE WASHING MACHINE; TAKE THEM TO A LAUNDROMAT WITH BIG WASHERS, SPOT CLEAN IF YOU SPILL SOMETHING AND LET ME KNOW ABOUT IT.
Clean up after each use. Wipe up any water and dry around the faucets.
Turn on the fan when showering or bathing.
If you have long hair, clean your hair from the tub or sink drain after each use.
TV, DVR, ROKU, INTERNET
There is basic cable. Push the top center button on the Shaw remote. If you want to watch a DVD, use the TV remote to change the output to COMPONENT. If you want to access your own Canadian Netflix account, use the TV remote to change the output to HDMI 2 and set up your own account from there. US accounts do not work.
