The living is easy at Carlos Pointe 413. When you stay at this 2-bedroom condo overlooking the wide, white beach, your toughest decision is whether to start your day with a swim in the complex’s heated pool or in the tranquil waters of the Gulf of Mexico; both are just outside your door.
From the screened-in balcony of Carlos Pointe 413 you’ll have a front-row view of the dolphins playing in the gulf and the seagulls diving into the surf. You can enjoy that view while dining; the balcony includes a table that seats 4. There’s a ceiling fan too, so that even on the hottest summer days the balcony is a cool place to hang out.
Sliding glass doors separate the balcony from the living/dining area. That means you can gaze out at sand, surf, and sky even as you kick back in one of the perfectly cushioned armchairs or sprawl out on the plush couch. When you’re not looking out at the seascape, you can watch a movie on the living area’s large flat-panel TV with DVD player and cable, or you can surf the web via the free WiFi.
In addition to the balcony’s dining table, Carlos Pointe 413 has a more formal dining area inside. Six people can gather around the table, and there are comfortable padded stools for 3 more at the adjacent breakfast bar. Separating the dining area from the kitchen, the breakfast bar doubles as additional counter space. Even if you’re hosting a holiday gathering, you’ll find all the gear you need in the kitchen, from a full-size refrigerator/freezer and oven/stove to cutlery and a coffeemaker. And even from the kitchen you’ll have a view of the gulf!
Along with 2 bedrooms, Carlos Pointe 413 has 2 bathrooms, which makes it easy for everyone to get ready in the morning for a fun-filled day. Each bedroom also has a flat-screen TV and a ceiling fan whose gentle whirr is certain to lull you to sleep. (Don’t worry: The condo has air-conditioning too!) The master bedroom features a sumptuous king-size bed, as well as sliding doors that open onto the balcony, so you can indulge in a romantic nightcap under the stars. The 2nd bedroom, with 2 twin beds, is perfect for the kids. And if you have additional guests, they can sleep in the living area: The sofa opens into a bed for 2.
As relaxing and comfortable as Carlos Pointe 413 is, you’ll probably be spending more time outdoors than in. Along with a pool, the condo complex has an expansive deck with lounge chairs where you can stretch out under the palm trees. The complex’s outdoor barbecue will come in handy if you go fishing off Big Carlos Pass, just steps away. Also steps away is the trolley stop to the northern end of Fort Myers Beach, with its shops, restaurants, street performers, mini golf, and more. And from Carlos Pointe you can walk over the bridge to Lovers Key State Park and hike its wetland trails, canoe or kayak along its estuaries, or bike among its mangroves.
And then there’s the velvety beach itself—paradise for shell collectors—and the calm, relatively shallow waters of the gulf. There’s a reason Fort Myers Beach has long been considered one of the world’s safest, as well as a reason the American Sand Sculpting Championship is held here every year.
