When it comes to a fun-in-the-sun getaway, you’ll find it tough to beat Casa Bella B. The newly renovated 1-bedroom property is chock-full of comfort and charm—and it’s only a block from the soft white sands of Fort Myers Beach and the serene waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Surrounded by lush palm trees, Casa Bella B is a ground-floor unit which will make coming and going from the beach throughout the day even easier. The open living/dining/kitchen area is cozy and delightfully furnished in blues, greens, and neutrals. The tiled floors will feel refreshingly cool underfoot after a day of beach combing or sand volleyball, and once you stretch out on the new sofa, you might never want to get back up!
Luckily there’s a large flat-screen TV with cable and a Blu-ray DVD player to keep you entertained as you laze. Or you can use this as an opportunity to post photos of your day’s activities online, courtesy of the free WiFi. When your friends see how much fun you’re having, they’ll be so jealous! Although numerous restaurants are located nearby, sometimes you might find it more relaxing (and certainly less expensive) to eat in.
The kitchen of Casa Bella B is so new it sparkles, from the stainless-steel appliances to the black granite counters. Full-size refrigerator/freezer and oven/stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, cookware, tableware... all you have to supply is the food (and there’s a supermarket just a few blocks away for that!). There’s even a dishwasher, because why should you scrub plates when the beach is right down the street? The bedroom is furnished with the same emphasis on relaxation as the rest of Casa Bella B.
The queen-size bed all but guarantees a great night’s sleep, and the wall-mounted flat-screen TV lets you keep up with all your favorite late-night viewing. If you have friends staying over as well, you can open the living room sofa into a bed for 2, enabling Casa Bella B to accommodate up to 4 people overnight. The bathroom, like the rest of the unit, has been recently refurbished and is bright and airy. You’ll arrive to find laundered towels waiting in the bathroom and the bed newly made up, so if you want to make a shower or a nap your first order of business, you can.
Once you see just how close Casa Bella B is to the beach, though, you may want to head right down. Fort Myers Beach has long been considered one of the country’s safest and best, thanks in part to the calm, relatively shallow waters of the gulf and the velvety sand; in fact, the American Sand Sculpting Championship is held here every year. You can stroll the entire length of the island on its white sands, and if you look out toward the gulf while doing so, you’re liable to see dolphins and even manatees frolicking alongside the boats.
When you’re not swimming, canoeing, kayaking, parasailing, or shell collecting, there’s lots more to do close by. To the north of Casa Bella B is the island’s Times Square area, abuzz with shops, restaurants, and street performers. To the south is Lovers Key State Park, where you can hike, bike, and fish among estuaries, wetlands, and mangroves.
If you don’t want to drive to either destination, you can hop on the trolley that runs up and down the length of the island. Should you want to venture farther afield, you can take a casino cruise or a boat ride to Sanibel Island. When you stay at Casa Bella B, you can go all-out active one day, then laze on the beach the next; make a late night of it hitting the hot spots or relish a quiet night in. Here’s you chance to savor your dream vacation—book your stay at Casa Bella B, and make it a dream come true.+ More
