Located along the Androscoggin River on historic Elm Street in Topsham, this newly renovated farmhouse offers a perfect home base for summer exploration of mid-coast Maine. A pleasant 20-minute walk takes you over the bridge to downtown Brunswick with its many restaurants, farmer’s markets and unique entertainment venues. All summer long the Maine State Music Theater and the Bowdoin International Music Festival bring world-class productions to town. Popham Beach State Park, Bath Maritime Museum, Portland’s Old Port, Casco Bay cruises and Freeport are all within an hour’s drive of this prime location. Amtrak service and major bus lines to Boston and New York City are available from Brunswick.
As a primary residence, the house has a fully equipped kitchen, a washer-dryer, and a two-car garage. Two of the three bedrooms have queen size beds; the third has a double bed futon and a crib, which can convert to a toddler bed. A small deck with a picnic table and outdoor grill sits between the house and garage. Behind the garage is a large flat grassy area perfect for whiffle-ball, badminton or an inflatable kiddie pool. We will be living on Bailey Island while you are here. We will stop by weekly to mow the lawn, water the plants, get the mail, and check in with our guests.+ More
