Lovely bungalow-style house on a peaceful block in the tree-lined Alameda neighborhood. The house is a short walk to the Alberta Street shopping district and Wilshire Park and is a five-minute drive to Whole Foods and New Seasons. It’s also close to bus lines, and a 10-min drive downtown.
Diminutive from the front, this house hides over 2,500 square feet of living space. The master bedroom is on the ground floor, with a door that leads out to a large deck that runs the length of the house. There are two kids' bedrooms upstairs that share a large bathroom. In the basement, there is another bedroom, currently outfitted as an office, with at attached bathroom. The main area of the finished basement features a cozy hang-out area with a couch and entertainment area.
The floor plan is very open, with great access to the deck and backyard. On the deck, you'll find a marble-topped table and wrought-iron chairs for alfresco dining, with a charcoal grill. The kitchen opens up to a separate eating area, which features a large table and bar stools, and a glass door that leads outside to an attractive backyard, complete with espalier-style apple and pear trees, a fruit-bearing cherry, blueberry and raspberry bushes, and plenty of roses.
The spacious living room and dining room feature floor to ceiling windows, with views out to the lush greenery and a Persimmon tree in the front yard. If you like to play, there is also a piano in fine tune.
On the premises, you'll meet a black cat named Moosey, who plays outdoors during the day and comes indoors at night. A cat sitter will have access to the house to feed and care for him. Moosey is friendly, but not overly-demanding, and is tolerant of children since he was raised up from kittenhood with two himself.
If you love animals and your privacy too, you can choose to feed the cat yourself. For this service, we'll offer a discount on the rate.+ More
