Once employee housing for the Noyes Comb factory this charming antique gambrel home was meticulously restored in 2013 with all up-scale amenities. Located in a private, quiet and centrally located neighborhood and on the clipper city rail trail this home is a five-minute stroll along the rail trail to Joppa waterfront park, an easy 1/2 mile walk through Newburyport’s historic district to the Tannery mall, ¾ mile to downtown and a five-minute drive (2.5 miles) to Plum Island’s Parker National Wildlife Refuge and beaches. Perkins park for baseball, tennis and basketball and March hill for sledding are a just a five-minute walk. When not dining out at one of the areas many restaurants and taverns, enjoy the home’s dining area or eat at the chef’s counter for a more informal meal, lunch or breakfast. The home’s chef kitchen has a high-powered gas range and oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and high-end cutlery and utensils. The Livingroom sits the family comfortably, and features cable and internet TV. Just off the Livingroom is a three-season porch to sit and enjoy the morning paper with coffee, play a game with family or enjoy a cold drink or glass of wine at the end of the day. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, two chests of draws, ample storage and internet TV with NetfliX. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a chest of draws and large closet.

This home has internet, washer and Dryer and 3-zone central air conditioning.

Just outside, the large, shaded patio is great to hang low on and read a book or have a family cookout. Outdoor amenities for guest use include gas and charcoal grills, fat-tire and mountain bikes, 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella, whiffle ball, football, basketball and fishing rods, to name a few.

The house was more than I expected and every bit as nice as the photos. Everything was top drawer all the way. The owner met us when we arrived and made us familiar with all the things in the kitchen, etc. The house was immaculately clean, towels etc. were all the best... Couldn't have been more pleased....

Beautiful property in a great neighborhood


We had a wonderful time staying here. The house is perfect, comfortable, tastefully decorated and has an amazing and well stocked kitchen for cooking.
