It's called The Bunkhouse. Our charming rustic cottage is part of a compound anchored by a historic sea captain's house built in 1868 (on a historic "Captain's Row" of houses built by sea captains), with a secluded green field outback, including our lush organic vegetable garden. A quick bike ride (4 bikes available) to beaches, ponds, and one of the top-10 rated ice cream parlors in America. Nearby kayaking and tennis. Enjoy our refreshing outside shower. Good for couples and families.
Rumor has it that The Bunkhouse was once a saloon on the property of Captain Frederick Coleman, who built the Main House in 1868. The house is in the historic register of the Centerville Historical Society, just a walk down the street from us. We are a 10-min car ride to Hyannisport and the Kennedy compound, as well as 15 min by car to Hyannis airport.
You will have access to The Bunkhouse and grounds, which include our back field and organic vegetable garden, as well as the use of 4 bikes to get around the area and ride down to places like beautiful Long Beach (10 min ride) facing Nantucket Sound, or the famous Four Seas Ice Cream parlor, in operation for over 50 years and where Jaqueline Onassis was a regular (favorite flavor of hers: peach).
We will be available either in person or via text, phone or email to offer help, guidance and insider tips for the area. Whatever activity you are interested in pursuing, we will do our best to point you in the right direction. We have been here for 3 generations and have deep knowledge of Cape Cod.
This is a very relaxed and calm place, and we will do everything we can to make sure that you have a relaxed and calming stay!+ More
