Norman's Landing is a new listing and we are accepting rental guests beginning May 2018. We have just launched and have no reviews yet. But we have been renting the cottage next door - Peggy's Point - for 7 years and have got fantastic reviews for location, quality, and guest service.
Norman's Landing is a renovated 3-season cottage on a quiet bay of Maple Lake in the Haliburton Highlands. It is so close to the water's edge you can hear the gentle lapping of the water.
The land is flat. There are no stairs to navigate from the parking lot or to the water. It's a great spot for seniors and children. A shallow entry, small sandy beach is wonderful for children in the summer.
An over sized dock is the place to sun yourself, watch the loons, moor your boat (large or small) and eat at the outdoor table. A nearby public boat launch makes bringing your boat to Norman's Landing a breeze.
The cottage has spectacular sunrises and the beautiful large dock gets sun all day. At the back, a grassy area and a badminton net are just waiting for a game. A horseshoe pitch provides hours of good old fashioned family fun.
The cottage is tastefully furnished with a nautical theme and the beds have new mattresses. The great room takes advantage of the lake view and has knotty pine walls and ceiling.
For the gourmet cook - the modern kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is new and includes a shower.
A spacious master bedroom has a high quality queen size bed, and a walk out to the deck overlooking the lake.
The other two bedrooms are small. One has a forest view with a double bed. The other has twin bunk beds and a forest view.
A canoe, a kayak and a paddle boat are provided for the use of guests. Firewood for the firepit is also included.
Sleeping accommodation is also available in the beautiful new waterfront bunkie.
A spacious master bedroom has a walk out to the deck and a fabulous sunrise view.
Two bedrooms in the main cottage are small and best suited for one adult or two children.
The bunkie is a marvelous hideaway facing the lake and has a queen bed.
