Two bedroom, 900 square foot waterfront cottage located near Wiarton. This cottage is surrounded by breathtaking scenery with stunning views, from the large 12 by 20 ft deck, of Colpoys Bay and out into Georgian Bay including White Cloud Island and the Niagara Escarpment.
There are plenty of large windows in the front of the cottage allowing you to enjoy this gorgeous view even when you're inside. Two comfortable sofas provide plenty of space for everyone in the party to relax, and the woodstove is a nice treat on a cool evening. A television with DVD player are available to help entertain on a rainy day. Another sofa faces out over the water, and is a great place to sit with a good book and enjoy the water view.
The kitchen is compact and is equipped with many of the comforts of home including a fridge, stove, and microwave. A table and six chairs are located at one end of this kitchen.
There are two bedrooms at the cottage, one with a queen bed and the other with a double. There is also a fold out double bed in the living room for some extra sleeping space. Please note that the walls do not extend to the ceiling in the bedrooms, as these are partial walls.
The one bathroom at the cottage is a three piece (Has been renovated. Pictures to follow.)with a shower, as well as a sink and a flushomatic toilet.
Behind the cottage is a nice, grassy yard which is great for small children to play, away from the roadside. Across the road by the water is a fire pit for your family to enjoy in the evening.
There is a 500 ft path behind the cottage that leads you directly to the Bruce Trail for a picturesque hike. If you want to try your hand at fishing, you can attempt to catch an elusive salmon from the government dock.
There are many little shops in Wiarton with unique locally-crafted items, as well as many studios in the outlying areas with oil paintings, woodwork, stained glass & pottery. You can visit the studio of painter Paul Duff, located on Hwy 6 just north of Wiarton and open during the summer, and see his original works of the Bruce Peninsula.
This cottage is just a drive away from many points of interest, including Sauble Beach with it's 7 miles of sandy shore located about 25 km away and Lion's Head with it's public sandy beach located approximately 30 km away. You could also make the drive to Tobermory and explore the harbour and its unique shops, enjoy a bite to eat, or take a boat ride to Flowerpot Island or the ferry to Manitoulin Island. There is much to see and do! .

The cottage has direct access to the waterfront, but please note there is a road that travels between the cottage and the lake. Shoreline is a stony beach with shallow entry. There is a landing that has been built on the shore. The landing is 30 foot by 20 foot, grass covered with steps that provide easy access to the water. Swim shoes are recommended for this beach.+ More
