This bright, newly decorated, main level Suite for Two is stylish, comfortable and right downtown. I have created a luxurious get-away with furnishings that include a deluxe pillow top bed with its down duvet. There is a full kitchen with everything you might need, from a cappuccino machine to an oyster knife. The living room/dining room has lots of space to lounge, surrounded by original artworks adorning the walls. Most are by well established Island artists; all tell a story. A Magnolia tree dapples the late afternoon light coming into the living room as well as a sunporch filled with windows to enjoy the award winning gardens. A desk with an inspiring window view is a perfect space for catching up. There is a large enclosed patio draped with grape vines and potted herbs for complete privacy or open its door and look across the street to Rochford Square.
Cottage on Kent is a registered Heritage House built in 1830, making it one of Charlottetown's earliest homes. It has been well loved over it's 187 years. It sits on a corner across from Rochford Square, which becomes part of your own front yard and will entertain you at times with it's summer events. It is an idyllic place to relax.
Cottage on Kent is one block from downtown with it's many heritage streets, including Victoria Row, Great George Street and Water Street, lined with cafe's, restaurants, art galleries, churches and shops. Victoria Park with it's waterfront boardwalk and forest trails is also just one block away. You can follow the walk from the park, back through the neighbourhood, past the Culinary Institute of Canada which is home to Canada's Smartest Kitchen, the Charlottetown Yacht Club, Peake's Wharf Historic Waterfront and Confederation Landing. There is much to explore when you choose to leave the comforts of the Cottage on Kent.+ More
