Property Description

This cozy cottage style home will be a great place to stay for a large family or a weekend get away for two! We have a puppy door and a fenced in back yard, so animals are always welcome. This cozy home has all the amenities to feel right at home. There will be a door code sent a few days prior to your stay. You will have access to the entire space as well as the large back yard. I will not be at the house during your stay, however I will always be available if needed.

Our home is conveniently located just 15 minutes from down town Portland and a mile away from a max station. I also suggest Uber or lift, it’s fairly cheap and super quick!

Feel free to leave recycling and trash inside the house or on the back porch unless it overflows. Outside in the backyard you will notice the 4 refuse bins. The large blue bin is for mixed recycling (paper, cardboard, cans, plastics, etc.), the yellow box is for glass, the dark green bin is for trash and the lighter green with black lid is for yard debris/food scraps/compost. We Portlanders are proud to be reducing the amount of waste going to landfills, if you have any questions as to what goes in which bin there is a guide on the fridge. Portland only picks up trash every other week and recycling every week so it is important to use the recycling and reduce the amount of garbage.

The wifi is (MichelleRose) the password is (Rosebud1981) no spaces.

You will find our smart TV in the living room the TV is connected to the Wi-Fi and have Netflix/YouTube/etc. It is also connected to digital antenna (no cable TV, sorry). To switch between the Blu-ray player and television use the top left button on the Vizio remote (the one with the keyboard on the back of it) which is “input”. Input must be on “HDMI -2” to use the Blu-ray player and then you’ll have to use the other Samsung remote for playing a disc. To switch back to TV, turn off the Blu-ray player and/or switch the ‘input’ on the Vizio remote back to a television channel, e.g. ‘6-1’. To use Netflix just hit the “Netflix” button on the top middle of the remote and select any user. As you can see we allow other family members to mooch off of us so use any user you’d like.

We also have a few games, kid toys and puzzles located in the hall cupboard.

Please only use what towels and linens you find necessary. We do ask our guests to reuse towels if possible. If new towels are needed they can be found in the hall cupboard. Please put all used towels and linens (including bed sheets) in the hamper in the bathroom. You will also find extra toilet paper and travel toiletries in the hall cupboard. If you do use the travel toiletries feel free to take the used portion with you so we don’t unnecessarily need to throw them away if you’ll use them again.

Feel free to cook! Please clean up afterwards and fill the dishwasher up as much as possible before running, dishwasher soap is in the bottle under the sink. Fill the small bin in the door with the detergent, snap the lid shut. To start the dishwasher, press the ‘Sensor’ button, then select the drying method to ‘Air Dry’ and press “Start” then shut the door. If you need to add something that’s okay, just open the door while it’s running and add your dishes but before shutting the door again you need to press the “Start” button again then shut the door.

If you need an iron and ironing board they can be found in the laundry room.

Feel free to enjoy the backyard! Both our front and back yard are a work in progress, landscaping to be done soon (we hope). We have a charcoal grill for you to use. We do not allow smoking in the house, but feel free to smoke outside, please use the coffee cans for your cigarette butts.

Please leave mail in the mailbox. Thank you!

We just had a new high efficiency furnace installed, it works great, however it makes some funky noises…don’t be alarmed if you notice them (my significant other thinks I’m nuts) I have had them checked out and it’s working just fine.

Checkout is at 12:00 pm and a cleaner will be at the house promptly after. If you aren't checked out by 12:00 pm and have not received prior authorization, a $50 fee may be charged to your deposit. Please run the dishwasher so we can ensure the dishes are clean, dry and put away for the next guests.

On your way out, please put used sheets, pillowcases and used towels in the hamper in the bathroom. Please close and lock the windows and doors. Make sure to also check that all cadet heaters (wall heaters) are turned off.

For groceries, you have two close options. Fred Meyers is two blocks away off division, you’ll find a Safeway on 122nd and Glisen and a WinCo on 122nd and Halsey. Depending on what you’re in the mood for there is a cute dive bar down division on 174th called the lariat, there is also fine dining at the Ring Side with an amazing happy hour located at 148th and Glisen. They also have a wonderful walking path, you should check it out! Feel free to ask me about anything, I’ve lived here for 12 years

Good location good set up

I would rent again. The overall stay was good and I would rent again if I am in Portland. It was a good location between the locations I needed. It slept the 6 of us good. It was a comfortable stay. I just have a couple of suggestions. We had to put the fitted sheets on the bed and mop the floor (may want to check with the maid) I also would sugges... Read More

Clean and cute

We were in town for a wedding and only stayed one night, but it was perfect for our needs. Plenty of space for everyone to get ready, really comfortable beds after a long night and the decor was really cute. Our dog loved the fully fenced yard and the freedom to roam. Only complaint was that we couldn't figure out the TV - only a few religious chan... Read More
