Our downstairs studio is like a small hotel room with its own entrance, a kitchenette, bathroom and a comfy bed. Our home is close to public transportation and lots of shops, restaurants and parks. It is near the lively Mission district and quaint Cortland Ave. There is easy access to 80, 101 and 280 if you're driving south or east. Its best for 1 or 2 people, but might be able to accommodate a couple with 1 child. A small dog would be okay, but there is no outdoor area.
The studio is about the size of a hotel room, with a queen size bed, breakfast table and chairs, a side chair. There is a closet for your use.
The kitchenette includes an under-counter refrigerator with a freezer, sink, and microwave, as well as an electric kettle and a French press coffee maker. We provide coffee and tea for you to make yourself. There are glasses, mugs, plates and bowls. There is silverware, a can opener, a bottle opener. Please wash your dishes and put them in the dish-drain found under the sink.
The shower and toilet are each behind a wall for privacy, and there is a heavy curtain separating the bathroom from the studio. There is a door for the toilet. However, the bathroom is not a completely separate room, so the studio is best for people who are comfortable with one another.
It is a downstairs apartment with its own entry. There is no outdoor space. We will provide you with access to the key and you can check in any time after 3:00 - even if its late. If you want to come earlier, you can check with us and if its possible we'll be able to let you in early. At the very least, you can almost certainly drop by early and leave your bags until the studio is ready for check in. The entry door is up 3 steps from the street.
It is about 2 blocks to a bus stop, about 5 blocks to a BART station. You can get to and from the SFO or OAK airport on BART.
Mission St and Valencia St in the Mission neighborhood are walking distance. Cortland Avenue, our quaint neighborhood commercial district is a few blocks away as well. Essential services like laundry, groceries, coffee, restaurants, ice cream and several parks are within a couple of blocks. A determined pedestrian could easily walk to Noe Valley as well.
If you have a car, there is very quick and easy access to I-280, I-80 and I-101 for access to the South Bay and San Jose, to Oakland and Berkeley in the East Bay and to Downtown. There is only street parking, but we don't find it is as difficult as some other neighborhoods. The hardest time to find a parking place on the street is in the evening or night.+ More
