Comments from guest "We really enjoyed our stay at the Wildwood. Robb the very helpful front desk person recommended suite 108 to me on the phone, since we have two very young children. This suite was at the back of the property, so nice and quiet, and it was ground level with a large patio and a grassy area. The kids loved running around and playing out there. It was really helpful when we had to be back at the place for our 1 yr. old to nap, we didn't feel like we were cooped up in our room since we could go outside. It was also really quiet for nap times and early bed times. Being in the trees back there also made it very comfortable and not hot in our room - and we were there during the heat wave over the Canada Day week. It's true there's no AC but we honestly were perfectly comfortable the whole time.

This place is not fancy but it was great for us, and a really good value for Whistler. It is just a bit of a walk or a very short drive to the village, and it is also just a nice trail walk to Lost Lake which is a great little beach.

The pool is really nice too, and we mostly had it to ourselves everytime we went.

We had a great stay and we plan on returning. If you want a quieter and much less expensive stay than in the village I would highly recommend this, especially for families.

And they are very honest! My 1 yr. old (the little stinker) pulled my brand new cell phone (still in the box) out of the suitcase and hid it somewhere. I hadn't started using the phone yet and had planned on setting it up while we were on vacation, but I didn't end up doing so. We kind of forgot about it! And even when we got home, I went back to work and was using my old phone - and then the Wildwood Lodge called me and asked if we forgot anything important in our room?! I felt pretty stupid, but I was really impressed by their honestly since I hadn't even contacted them.

We would recommend this place :)"

Unit 115, Terrible

Unit 115 was a dingy, dirty unit. The view was of old people in a community hot tub, it was very dated, smelled funny, not well cleaned, the sheets did not fit the bed, pillows were horrible, upon arrival we found dishes in the dishwasher, the refrigerator makes a constant loud noise that you can not escape, the pull out couch was broken and was u... The owner left the following response...

Very strange that your review is in total contrast to a multitude of previous reviews. Do you have a problem with old people in a community hot tub?? What did you expect? The unit is not dirty and was cleaned by our professional staff. Do we have any flexibility with the original design that does not meet your approval? We informed YOU about the sofabed but you did not use or need it, so what is the problem? It was not usable as a bed as we told you, but as a sofa, it was quite fine. Since you did not need the sofabed, we are replacing the mechanism as soon as you leave. The pictures of this unit on line are exactly the pictures of this unit. 112 is a totally different unit owned by different people and it is not the same design. Too bad you did not have a chance to pay the extra $100 per night to stay in 112. Your comments are not worthy of this sort of review and no consideration will be given for compensation. We have no idea where your expectations came from because we did not mislead you or anyone else with our representation of the unit. I suggest the Four Seasons or Fairmont next time.

Comfortable and great location

The condo was comfortable and just a short walk to the lifts and the village. We arrived very late at night but they were able to easily accommodate our late arrival. The staff was incredibly friendly.
