Welcome to Cricker Cottage!
Located at 55 Winter St in the picturesque town of North Rustico (known by locals as The Crick). The property itself is a comfortable family home with mature landscaping and ample room for the wee ones to run and play. We are easy to find; as you arrive into town look for the Irving sign and the bakery both of which are located at the foot of Winter Street. Cricker Cottage is the last house on the left. As you drive up the street you will be greeted by a well maintained three dormer home. This property boasts two patios, one on the south side, and one facing east. The east side patio has the added protection of a veranda so you can enjoy the sunshine or shade. For those of you who like to have a siesta try the hammock under a mature Little Leaf Lyndon tree. Patio furniture, a clothes line and a propane barbeque are also available for your enjoyment. There is a small fire pit for those who wish to enjoy an evening bonfire. (Providing the province does not have a fir ban in place) Firewood may be conveniently purchased at the end of the street.
On the inside there is a full kitchen which includes a propane stove, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, tea pot, microwave and a Keurig machine. Also included are pots, pans, utensils, glassware and dishware. Condiments such as salt, pepper, mustard, ketchup and sugar are supplied. Off the kitchen is a four piece bathroom. The living room is a spacious open concept with a working wood stove, television, HDMI cable, Internet and Wi-Fi and comfortable seating for your relaxation.
Upstairs you will find two well-appointed bedrooms each with a queen size bed. Off the Master Bedroom is a small patio where you can get a great view of the Bay and surrounding neighbourhood. Also upstairs is a four piece bathroom as well as a washer and dryer.
Once settled into Cricker Cottage everything you need is literally available within walking distance. Take a stroll on the Boardwalk which also leads to the beach and to North Rustico Harbour where there are places to dine , a Fisherman's Museum and a gift shop. For those of you interested in outdoor activities there are ample opportunities for deep sea fishing excursions and Kayaking tours. Have a bike? Take the Gulf Shore Parkway located within the National Park, and cycle the paved dedicated route along the coastline to Cavendish. Approximately a 10 km ride; here you can connect to other biking and or walking/hiking trails. On your way make sure you stop to take pictures and enjoy the fresh salt air and watch the fishing boats out on the water. Charlottetown, the provincial capital, is a short thirty minute drive+ More
