Fantastic wooden house right on the lake in central Lake of Nova Scotia! New construction - completion until February 2018 - bookable now! Functional, high-quality equipment. More photos will be online soon.
There are many holiday properties in the world, but if you're looking for something special, the Dean Lake Chalet in Canada is the right address.
With attention to detail very high quality furnished, directly at a lake area and of its construction certainly for the enjoyment. The holiday can start right at the house.
The Dean Lake Chalet in the Southwest country style is convincing above all by high functionality and well thought-out room layout. The complete equipment is at a high level (among other things, Washing machine and dryer, TV with DVD player, microwave, dishwasher, Weber grill, canoe, kayak etc.).
In the house are a total of three bedrooms, a living room and outside a large terrace. In the cozy, open living-dining-kitchen area on the ground floor is a wood-burning stove for the colder seasons. A highlight is certainly the large terrace, which runs the house on two sides. From the house you have direct access to the terrace and a panoramic lake view. The sunsets are unforgettable.
The construction of the chalet was designed to be sustainable and many building materials were used directly from the property, such as the natural stone wall behind the stove was made with stones from the property or the outer facade has been clad with the wood of the trees, which are felled to create the driveway had.
A sun deck is located directly on the water. Canoe, kayak, charcoal grill, a fishing equipment and an extensive folder with lots of information and restaurant tips are available free of charge in the house. Directly from the house you can start with many activities.

From the Halifax International Airport (which from April to October is flown with Condor directly from Germany), it is about two hours to Dean Lake Chalet. Before you pass Bridgewater, you will find several large supermarkets and a small shopping mall. Caledonia is also within 15 minutes from the house, where there is a medium-sized supermarket, petrol station, café, liqueur store, post office, bank and much more. This short distance between pure nature and shopping is rather rare for Canadian conditions.
Particularly ideal is the location of Dean Lake Chalet for those who want to explore the South of Nova Scotia. So it is only about 45 minutes to the cities of Liverpool and Bridgewater on the south coast or to the Bay of Fundy. Kejimkujik National Park is a 20-minute drive from Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia is at least 1.5 hours.
Dean Lake is perhaps one of the most beautiful lakes in Nova Scotia. He goes directly into the slightly larger Mc Gowan Lake, where more small islands lie. The lake gives the right Canadian feeling, because the bank is hardly built with houses: pure nature!
We recommend an extensive tour with canoe and kayak, which is available to our guests to discover the interconnected lakes. The many small islands offer the perfect place to take a break. One of them even has a picnic bench.
No sound motorboats, jetskis or even watercrafts will happily be found here. From the sun deck and from the house you have a wonderful lake view and can enjoy the day at the water in peace. In summer, the water is warm enough to swim and in winter the lake is often frozen.
Due to the distance of about 12 km of air line to the Kejimkujik national park, the animal world and the animal kingdom is high. As the cottage is surrounded by nature, you can also discover some white-whiskers, raccoons, skunks or goats in the forest. Squirrels and squirrels come to the terrace. At the lake you can also find the well-known white-headed eagles, the Canadagans or the specially protected loons, which are among the ice dolphins and are depicted on the Canadian one-dollar coin.
