Parc National De La Mauricie
La Mauricie National Park offers a great recreational fishing experience. It is the ideal way for visitors to come into contact with the environment, otherwise inaccessible, but also to fish while fully respecting the protection of our natural resources. Since it's the only harvesting activity allowed inside our park's boundaries, line fishing is subject to various regulations that aim to maintain the integrity of aquatic ecosystems for the benefit of present and future generations. For this reason, any person wishing to line fish must first obtain a National Parks fishing permit issued by La Mauricie National Park.
Mountain bike enthusiasts will enjoy the 30-odd km long park circuit. The Rivière à la Pêche Campground, the Wabenaki and Andrew Lodges, and the Lac Ã?douard Picnic Area are all interconnected by an extensive network of trails. You will be riding on old logging roads bordering pristine lakes and across rich maple forests. Enjoy yourself, but be careful to look out for hikers!
Mountain biking is allowed on trails No. 3, 7, 8 and 9. It is also allowed on Trail No. 6 from the Lac Bouchard Picnic Area to Lac du Pimbina, and on the Vallerand Trail located in the Saint-Mathieu sector. These paths as a rule are surfaced with fine gravel. However, some sections may be covered with coarse gravel, pebbles or soft sand. Ride carefully. If service vehicles cross your path, please give them the right of way. Wearing a helmet is highly recommended.
