Great location for getting around on foot. If you have a vehicle, there is also off street parking (a rare find in St. John's).
Within a few minutes walk you will find the following:
- Belbin's, a boutique, family-run grocery store that focuses on local ingredients and is very well known for their delicious home-made meals-to-go.
Quidi Vidi Lake, with a larger grocery store as well as a small liquor store right at its shores. This is also the location of the well known St. John's Royal Regatta - a popular festival in early August.
The Battery- a funky neighbourhood with colourful homes and super cool walking trails that snake their way up to the top of Signal Hill.
- Signal Hill! The birthplace of the first trans-Atlantic radio signal sent by Guglielmo Marconi. Walk around the top of the hill and enjoy a breathtaking view of Cape Spear (the most Eastery point in North America), Fort Amherst (which can be accessed by car and leads to many hiking trails and swimming holes) and of course the beautiful St. John's harbour.
