Stroll to the beach to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy lunch on your balcony among the sunshine and sea breezes. Surf the waves, catch some fish, hit the links, explore old St. Augustine. Savor a late-night swim in your private pool and a nightcap under the stars. If that sounds like your dream vacation, you’re going to love Dune Nuttin.
A 5-bedroom, 2-story home that sleeps 12 people, Dune Nuttin is just a block from the sparkling white sands of St. Augustine Beach. From its spacious 2nd-floor balcony you’ll have a view of the beach and the ocean, one that you can relish from the patio table that seats 6. Dining out here at sunset while the breeze rustles through the palm trees will surely be a highlight of your stay, but the balcony is great for relaxing at any other time of day as well—especially as the ceiling fan will keep you cool even during the midday heat.
A deck on the lower level, complete with a pergola, has its own table and chairs, for another alfresco dining option. This open, airy spot is especially romantic at night: After the kids are asleep, step out here with a glass of wine under the silvery gaze of the moon…
Of course, there are dining areas indoors as well. The 2nd-floor has a large dining table that seats 8, plus a smaller table for 4 and a breakfast bar that seats 3. For even more variety—or privacy—the 1st floor has its own dining area with a table for 4.
This unique layout—dining area, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and wet bar on the 1st floor; living/dining/kitchen area, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor—makes Dune Nuttin well suited for several couples or families traveling together. Each family can have its own floor, or if there are several teens in your group, they can make the 1st floor their haven and join the others upstairs for meals and family time.
While the 1st floor’s wet bar has its own mini fridge, when it’s time to cook you’ll head upstairs to the 2nd floor’s kitchen. Stainless-steel appliances, cookware, tableware, plenty of counter space: The kitchen has it all. Among its niceties are an ice maker in the fridge and a blender (mmm, margaritas!) as well as a dishwasher (because who wants to scrub plates when the beach is practically around the corner?).
After your meal—or anytime, really!—there’s room for everyone to hang out in the 2nd-floor living room. The well-cushioned seating is perfect for settling back and watching a movie on the 55” HDTV with Bluetooth surround sound.
Each of the 5 bedrooms has a queen-size bed and a 32” HDTV among its amenities. Decorated in the same relaxed, serene style as the rest of Dune Nuttin, the bedrooms are inviting havens for reading, surfing the web (and posting photos of your adventures so that you can make your friends back home jealous!), and of course, getting a great night’s sleep. The master bedroom has an added benefit: a private bathroom. All 3 bathrooms, however, are bright and airy, with plenty of storage.
Given how close Dune Nuttin is to the beach, you probably weren’t expecting the house to have its own pool. Surprise! There’s a new in-ground pool in the back, surrounded by a beautiful tiled patio.
Another surprise awaits in the garage: a mini game room, with darts, foosball, and a table for playing cards, putting together a jumbo jigsaw puzzle, or working on crafts.
All this, and Dune Nuttin is just a short drive from such attractions as Marineland and old St. Augustine, not to mention restaurants, shops, golf courses… Even the theme parks of Orlando are just a day trip away.
No matter how you spend your days, though, you’ll relish being able to hear the sandpipers, feel the salt-kissed breeze, and look out at the ocean when you return to Dune Nuttin. First, though, you need to reserve your stay—so go on, book it today!+ More
