Better than a Hotel, or a House in a more typical neighborhood such as Nederland 3 miles away. You can use a tent in the yard, and enjoy having a campfire which is only allowed on Private Property in Boulder County. A rustic log cabin originally built in 1928. The cabin sits on an acre of land adjoining Boulder Creek. It has a large kitchen with refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave oven. One and a half bath. One bedroom with a full bed, but the couch can sleep two, or there's plenty of floor space in the large 400 square foot living room complete with fire place.
Located in the old mining town of Eldora, it's only 2 miles away from The Indian Peaks Wilderness area offering endless backpacking, hiking, fishing, and exploring.
It is right below the Eldora Ski Area, so you can be at the Ski Area in 15 minutes. You can also ski in ski out, if your into cross country skiing.
Nederland is a 10 minute drive, offering dining, stores, entertainment etc.
You can hike all the way to the Continental Divide and back in one day, and spend the night in a comfortable bed after a hot shower, instead of sleeping in a cold tent with rocks in your back.
The area is home to an abundance of wilderness and wildlife, including animals such as mountain lions, black bears, coyotes, red foxes, mule deer, elk, bobcats, and much more.
You can look up Eldora Colorado on Wikipedia for details about the area.
I reside in a separate back section of the house. The sections (front/back), of the house are soundproofed. Normal sound levels are not detectable between the sections of the house.
Normal sound levels would be conversations, watching movies, talking on the phone etc. You won't hear me and I won't hear you in other words.
I'm usually gone most the time.
