Property Description

The split level chalet located on a rural street just outside the town limits of Woodland Park, Co is a tranquil setting. Enjoy this non-smoking wooded setting amidst the abundant fauna with close approximation to all amenities.

The kitchen is fully furnished so plan to bring your own food. We have a supply of spices and some basic baking items. Our refrigerator/freezer unit is full size and more than adequate. An infrared gas grill is available for your grilling preferences. Use the outside dining areas or the large table in our dining area that can seat 6 plus.

The locked bedrooms have very comfortable queen size beds to include private decks & balconies on which to take your morning coffee or evening refreshments. All bedding is provided. Each bedroom accommodates 2 people. A large cot is available for alternative sleeping arrangements and can be set up in the largest bedroom. Please ask for this set up. We ask that you do not use the living room furniture for sleeping.

The bathrooms are full baths with shower tubs and all bath linens are provided. We also provide bathroom tissue and body wash. Please bring your personal toiletries.

Spend your day enjoying all the sights in our area or relax on our expansive deck soaking up some high altitude sun. In the evening, relax in our fully furnished living room where you can partake in our selection of fun games. Or take a starlit night time soak in our Jacuzzi hot tub. WI-FI is available and if TV is your thing at the end of a busy day, we do offer internet TV through a Roku unit.

The current available accommodations, for a 3 night minimum stay up to a maximum 6 night stay, is the main level and upper level of this 3 bedroom 2 full baths area. The separate studio apartment on the lower level is not being rented out at this time and is being used by the property owner occasionally.

Check in is between 3:30pm - 6:30pm & check out is before 12 noon. Please be aware the chalet is not available prior to this check in time. We discourage late night check ins. The property owner will be available to meet you to provide a door code and provide a property safety sheet and other instructions.

The chalet is on a private well that is tested annually. The deep aquifer water taste great & is very cold. There is no concern about consuming this mountain water and you should consume a lot of it to prevent altitude sickness.

The septic system does require special use. Review the available booklet to protect this fragile eco system. We provide dishwasher soaps, dishwashing soaps and bathroom tissue that is safe for this system. We do not provide an option to do your personal laundry, in order to protect our fragile system. There are several laundromats in Woodland Park for that purpose.

This is a no-smoking facility and property due to close proximity to the forest and the fire-wise parameters. We also have found nicotine and THC oils can adhere to surfaces and can damage decor and fabrics. Also, smoking creates allergy and breathing issues for our travelers and the proprietor. There is a zero tolerance by the property owner regarding this house rule.

This is a no pet property due to the abundant wildlife that visits. Pets are not allowed inside the chalet to protect all carpet and furniture from damage and to protect all our travelers with allergy and asthmatic issues.

This multilevel home is not ADA adapted. But, there is 1 bedroom and bathroom on the main level. This level is accessible by ascending 2 steps to the front deck and the main entrance to the chalet.

Individuals with known cardiovascular disease planning to ascend to our altitude of 9500 ft above sea level are advised to consult their physician.

The lower level outside patio on the opposite side of the guest decks and balconies is used by the proprietor only. She is a quiet resident with no young children or pets to disturb visiting guests. Should the property owner not be available at the time of your stay, an on-call handyman is available for emergency situations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the chalet. We will definitely be coming back soon and when we do, we hope the chalet will be available. Susan is a top-notch host and the property is impeccable. All needs were met and questions answered. Definitely a worthwhile place to consider if staying in or near Woodland Park.

Great experience


The home was sweetly decorated. Very clean! It was great to have some of the added pantry items and coffee. Especially after a day of traveling! We got in late and Susan was gracious to us with our late check in. The kids really enjoyed the chalet as well.

We enjoyed this beautiful place. Extremely clean. Beautifully decorated! Less than 5 min to Charis Bible College.

Susan failed to mention she lives below.


Due to her living below you can here her tv, cough and talking and this made us feel uncomfortable. She was sweet but we received deposit deductions from silly items such as putting the wifi on the floor and it collecting "dust". We did leave trash in the trash can, some items in the fridge and moved a tv because there is not one in the living room... Read More

Excellent location, appearance, and condition! Pictures are accurate!


The property looked better than the pics, which looked good in themselves. Immediately across the (well kept) crushed stone road, walk 10 to 20 ft through the evergreens to get a nice view of Pikes Peak.
