This is a tiny house located in the fields of Carmel Lavender. It offers modern comfort completely off the grid. The house is served entirely by solar and a private well. The master has a queen bed, and two twin beds in the sleeping loft.
If you've ever wanted to live completely off the grid, on a working farm, then this is your place. This 'tiny house' is a 400 sqft mobile cabin with all the comforts. Electricity is provided entirely by the sun from a 2k watt solar array with battery back-up for nights and cloudy days. Water is provided to the tiny house from a private well over 500 feet deep. The gas for the stove and forced air heater is propane.
There is a full kitchen with a gas stove and oven, a microwave, refrigerator, some basic pots and pans, and plates and flatware.
There is a small dining nook for indoor eating, and a deck with table and chairs outside the entrance for outdoor dining.
There is a full bath with a shower.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, closets, and cabinets. There is an additional sleeping loft with two twin beds. The sleeping loft ceiling is 4 feet high, so you cannot stand up, but it is high enough for comfortable sleeping area.
The house is heated with a forced air heater. There is also a ceiling fan in the living room. There is no air conditioning.
You will be living on your own private hill. The property is alongside a working lavender field. There is a picnic area under a large oak tree next to the tiny house and lavender field for your enjoyment. There is also a seasonal stream within walking distance on the property.
Interaction with Guests
We live in another area of the property and will usually be around to greet you and possibly working in the fields. We do have special events in lavender essential oil extraction, soap making, and apiculture (beekeeping). The Los Padres National Forest and many hiking trails are near by as is the Tassajara Hot Springs, about another 14 miles up Tassajara Road. The Los Padres Reservoir is about 7-8 miles away with good hiking and seasonal fishing (check DFG regulations).
No public transportation serves this area.

There is no land-line telephone, and only ATT wireless service is available at this property. A prepaid wireless phone is provided for emergencies in case your service is not available. Most services such as restaurants, wineries, gas, groceries are about 14 miles (20 minute drive) west at the Carmel Valley Village.
