This is a terrific little 1946 renovated bungalow in the historic Sam Hughes neighborhood of Tucson. It is located four blocks from the UofA campus, an easy walk to McKale stadium. The house has its original hardwood floors and character. The kitchen and bathroom have been fully updated with modern amenities, while still maintaining the character of the home. New heating and air conditioning ensure your stay in Tucson will be comfortable.
There is a large flat-screen television that is connected to WiFi, so you can access your movie streaming accounts. There is also a DVD player.
One bedroom has a king-sized bed along with a standard closet and chest of drawers. The second bedroom has a two single (twin) beds and a small desk, suitable for working on a laptop.
Guest have access to the entire house, lovely front porch, back yard, and carport for free off street parking. The carport provides covered parking for 2 cars. There is also ample space behind the house to park an RV (though not covered).

We live in the house next door and are available any time for questions. That being said, we enjoy privacy when we travel, so unless you reach out to us with questions, we will happily leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. Sam Hughes is a registered national historic district. We are near a Safeway and a Whole Foods (5 minutes by car to either store). Other nearby shops/restaurants/services: US post office, Fedex/Kinko's, Rincon Market, Bob Dobbs restaurant, Thai food, Chinese food, Mexican food, gas stations, convenience stores. We are about a 10-minute drive to El Con mall where there is a movie theater, Target store, and many other shops and restaurants. We are a 5-minute drive to Banner University Medical Center (20-minute walk). Himmel Park is a short walk. The larger Reid Park, with its golf course and zoo, is nearby, as is the Randolph pool and tennis complex.
We are about a 20-minute walk from Tucson's streetcar that goes along popular 4th Avenue and then on to downtown.
Other Things to Note
We offer a weekly discount of 10% and a monthly discount of 20%, except during the Gem Show. Please note that the backyard is currently unfenced, though the neighborhood is one of the few in Tucson that has sidewalks. It is a very walkable, dog-friendly neighborhood.
