Welcome to Gallupin’ Paws Ranch. Our ranch house is located on 10 acres in the beautiful Pipes Canyon, surrounded by three large buttes with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Our home is set up with all the amenities to ensure that your stay will be relaxed with the feeling that you are home. There is a large front porch, whereas you can relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of the canyon, along with a fenced rear yard if you have pets that have come along to also enjoy our home. We have also provided a BBQ in the rear yard if you decide to grill during your stay.
Satellite is provided in the living room, along with DVD and VHS players which can be used to view the available video library of over 1000 movies. The master and spare bedrooms do not have satellite; however there are DVD/VHS players in the rooms. There is also PlayStation and WII games set up in the bunk room for your gaming pleasure.
There are trails leading away from the ranch, which provides awesome views of the valley, and even a trail that is a nice easy 1-hour horse ride to Pioneertown. The Blackrock equestrian area is a short 15-minute drive from the ranch, while Pioneertown is only 10 minutes away via the scenic Pipes Canyon Road. The main part of town is a short 10 minutes away, where shopping abounds for necessities, antiques or pretty much whatever you might desire. Both Joshua Tree and Palm Springs are a short drive of 20-25 minutes from the ranch.
We do have horses, cows, cats and dogs on our ranch, along with an abundance of local wildlife meandering through the 10-acre property on a daily basis. For those who have horses, there are two 12x24 stalls located near the house with automatic waterer’s and feed barrels. We do not rent horses, so if you do not have your own, we are partnered with the Yucca Valley Equestrian Center, located just 10 minutes away, where you can rent horses to ride around their arena, or go on a guided trail ride into the Joshua Tree National Park. If you do bring your horses (and we do encourage this), we have cows available for cutting, sorting, boxing, working cow, or just to chase in the arena (must be arranged prior to time needed). We also have a Hot Heelz steer if you want to try your hand at roping or if you just need to tune up your skills. Additionally there is a large picnic area, able to accommodate well over 50 people, near the arena office, along with a freestanding outhouse with indoor plumbing. There is also a 60’ round pen, dressage size arena currently set up with various obstacles, a regulation size sorting pen and cutting arena.
Being that we are located within a canyon, the cell service can be a hit or miss situation depending on where you are at on the property, however Sprint works anywhere. Just 5 minutes down the road, you will climb out of the canyon and all cell service comes back online.
You will have privacy within your house, but if you are outside hanging out, hiking, checking out the cows, horses or what have you, expect to be greeted, waved at and just generally treated like family.+ More
