This is a bright and fresh one bedroom apartment on the main floor of a three story building. You'll only have a few steps up from the street to climb.
The carpeted bedroom has a queen size bed, bedside table and lots of closet space. East facing window for a lovely breeze at night.
The living room has a sofa bed for additional sleeping spots. This apartment is great for two couples, will fit five or six (airbeds) if you're close friends or family.
One spacious bathroom with shower/tub combo and a full kitchen with a brand new fridge and gas stove. Plenty of space in cupboards for your things.
You won't need any keys for the apartment to come and go - just a secret code issued specifically for each booking. You will need a building key though!
Street parking - good option if you arrive before 5pm, as spots are very limited. Let us know if you decide to park in the lot or on the street, as we’ll provide you with a visitor permit ($35 deposit, held until permit is returned )
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
Q: How will I get the keys?
A: Once the booking is complete I will invite you to view and download an app about the apartment. In that app you’ll get info on how to find the key and access the apartment. There is only ONE key required, for the building door. The apartment itself does not have a physical key, you will have a private pin code for the electronic lock.
Q: Is it near the subway?
A: We are across the river from midtown, but there is no subway access (yet). Instead, we commute by the super awesome “chicken buses” or private jitney buses, that run every 5 minutes, all day and all night. As in 24/7 access. The cost is $3 per trip and I’ll send you detailed info once you’ve booked.
Q. Where in the building is the unit?
A. This building has 6 units, 3 of which are my units. This unit is on the first floor, at the back of the building. The other three units have long term tenants, so we are careful to make sure that the building is kept quiet and safe for everyone.
Q: Is the neighborhood safe?
A: Weehawken Heights is a very comfortable and easy place to be in. There are tons of families, professionals, apartments, private houses and the streets are well lit. You can walk home at any time of the night and not be bothered.
Q: Do I need to bring towels, a hair dryer, or linens?
A: Nope! I provide all these things. Same with basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo, hand soap
Q: Will I have a key? Can I come and go as I please?
A: Yes and yes. And I wouldn't trust any listing with which this isn't the case.
Q: Can my friend sleep on the sofa?
A: I’m very particular about the guest count. You may only have the number of guests stay that you booked for. What if there is an emergency and we need to evacuate the building? Don’t you want me to know how many people are there? Please communicate with me if you have a last minute friend want to stay with you.
Q: What's my total booking price? A: Owners see a different screen then guests. You’ll see the final price on the quote that I send you, or you can check the final price yourself by entering your dates and the number of guests. The system will calculate the amount and show you the total (but it won’t show me the final total as I don’t see the service fee). figure should be present after you enter your dates.
Q: Does the apartment look the same as the photos?
A: Yes, the pictures were taken by a professional photographer. I may change around the linens or move some cushions around, but it looks like the pictures.
