Just minutes away at Silver Springs Park there is a toboggan hill and outdoor skating path on the frozen lake. Birds Hill Park offers many x-country ski trails during the winter, with swimming, bike and walking trails during the summer. During the summer months also enjoy fishing on the Red River, a drive to Lake Winnipeg to Gimli Icelandic township and visit Winnipeg or Grand Beach. Or just stay in the area to go golfing at The Meadows beautiful 18-hole golf course. For the outdoor enthusiast the Trans Canada Trail goes through East St. Paul and a gateway to snowmobile country. The municipality has enhanced the quality of life by planting trees and creating several beautiful walking trails and paths. City entertainment is only 20 minutes away to enjoy spectacles such as the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, The famous Winnipeg Ballet, Winnipeg Art Gallery, Human Rights Museum, The Forks Market walking/Ice trails. A short distance away you will find the eclectic Exchange district and Corydon's Little Italy and Assiniboine Park. Groceries can be found close by at Birds Hill township or just down Henderson Hwy. or Lagimodiere. Polo Park, St. Vital and Kildonan Place shopping malls provide you with more expanded selections with Silver City Cinema experience for those movie buffs. Bakeries, Meat shops, pubs are all within 5 minutes from the house. For those travelling by air, the airport is only 20 to 30 minutes away.
Staying at Our place at the edge of the city, you will find a home away from home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Each bathroom was designed with a spa in mind. Steam shower for two in one and jacuzzi for two in the other. You will find the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms fully outfitted with everything you need for your stay.
The house, living and outdoor space will be open for your use for the full duration of your stay. The garage is the only area that is inaccessible.
As your host I will give you full access for information and contact during your stay. Myself or home manager will be meeting you on arrival and on your departure day to assist you in orientation and to ensure your stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
It is best if you have a car as the house is a 45 minute walk from the city transit if you are wanting to get into the city. There are taxi services available which are easily accessible as well.
The house is fully serviced with entertainment of two TV's, internet access and movies galore to choose from. There will be regular property and lawn maintenance provided during your stay and option for fee for service cleaning service on a regular interval according to your preference. This cleaning service will need to be arranged at least 4 weeks prior to your stay.
As with any property, our family expects you to treat your time at our home with the utmost respect and consideration for the home, property and neighbours. While in a sub urban setting our neighbours and people on the street stay aware of any trouble or difficulties to ensure the safety of the neighbourhood and street. I have created an environment for your enjoyment and expect all artwork, décor, furnishings and entertainment devices to be kept intact, maintained and kept in their place. These provisions are for the creation of a homey environment during your stay. Please enjoy!
Cleaning on departure. Please take all garbage/recycling to the bins provided on the property. Place dishes in the dishwasher and turn on. Take all towels and linens from beds and place in laundry room. The laundry facility is provided for your personal use during your stay. Failure to do so may result in a withhold of damage deposit to cover the cost of extra house cleaning fees. During your stay if you happen to be at the house, during Garbage removal day, please ensure to take Garbage and Recycling to the curb every Thursday night for pick up on Friday morning. Instructions are in the house manual. This reduces the pile up of garbage and recycling. Failure to do so may result in a withhold of damage deposit for removal of piled garbage.
Lastly, on the day of arrival, as per any hotel or establishment that rents accommodations, we ask you to confirm your booking with a government ID, provide the credit card information that you used for the booking and sign the rental agreement. The rental agreement is so there is an understanding of the house rules and rental details for the benefits of both guests and host.
Lastly, If you are wanting to host a party within the home or on the property it must be approved by the house manager and owner of the home. We consider parties to be family birthday's, wedding parties, anniversary parties, or any special events.
If not mentioned prior to your arrival and there is evidence of a party without permission then property owner will reserve the right to hold your damage deposit. Maximum amount of people 20, unless otherwise approved by house manager or owner.
