Brown's Turnaround is a renovated 150 year old farmhouse a short walk up the hill from one of Nova Scotia's finest beaches. The 4 bedroom house has everything you need for a restful vacation. Hot tub, sunset deck, 1 1/2 acres of land with pond, fire pit, fishing gear, library, piano and pump organ, beach chairs and beach toys.
The house is in the small lobstering village of Port Maitland. There's a long history of shipbuilding and fishing here, and the wharf beside the beach is filled with fishing boats. There's a local bakery and a general store in the village, while everything else is 16 kilometers away in Yarmouth. It is quiet and peaceful and the fresh sea air will have you wondering what you have been breathing the rest of the time! Designated a dark sky area - you will be spending nights out by the fire pit (or in the hot tub) stargazing.
The house has 4 charming bedrooms filled with antiques and new beds! One bedroom on the main floor along with 2 bathrooms with shower and a lovely claw foot tub. With a kitchen built for those who love to cook, you'll be trying out the local haddock and lobster and the world famous Digby scallops from up the road, or the local oysters from Eel Lake Oysters. Or, try mackerel fishing off the wharf and bbq your catch after a walk up the hill to the house. Brown's Turnaround is a place to kick back and enjoy the seaside and the quiet.+ More
