Enjoy the convenience of a short drive into the quaint village of Tobermory. Spend the day at popular Singing Sands Beach or head out for a hike at the Bruce Peninsula National Park. The cottage property has neighbours only on one side and offers good screening provided by natural forest. This gives you the space and privacy to truly get away and enjoy your holiday. The cottage was recently completely renovated with modern decor. It features an open-concept design with kitchen, dining, living areas and a den, all in the same large space. There are three large picture windows that provide stunning open views of Lake Huron. You can even enjoy spectacular sunsets right from the dining table itself through the summer months. The modern kitchen space offers many of the amenities and comforts of home. There are ample cupboards and counter space, including a large island. The kitchen provides a fridge, gas stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher so you can easily handle your family meals.The large solid wood dining table sits just adjacent to the kitchen/bar island and in front of large and bright windows that look out to the shore. The dining table seats six comfortable. Next to the dining area is the cozy living room space with a couch and a gas fireplace to relax around and enjoy on those cooler evenings. Three bedrooms at this cottage allow all the kids and parents to have their own space while on vacation. The spacious master bedroom has a queen-size bed and features its own large tub right in the room. It also has an ensuite powder room and a separate sitting area with an amazing view of Lake Huron. There is also a large walk-out balcony. You can watch the glory of each day’s sunset right from your room. The two other bedrooms hold a double bed and a set of single bunk beds, with each having multiple windows, some of them with views to the shoreline through the trees. The cottage has a separate family/recreation room, which has lots of comfortable furnishings. Enjoy a family movie on the 48" High Def TV and Blue-ray DVD player. There is a large wrap-around deck that provides ample patio space. On the deck, you’ll find patio tables and chairs to sit in the fresh air and enjoy a meal or games together. There is a propane BBQ for you to cook up those family feasts. You will also find Muskoka chairs to sit down, stretch out, and relax in the sun or shade with a great open view of the Lake at all times of the day. The shore-line is natural and includes a mix of flat honeycombed rock, stones, grasses and plants. Entry into the water is gradual, via flat rock or a sanded pathway into a shallow, large, clear area protected by a natural narrow rocky spit, with swimming further out. The cottage has a fire pit, so that you can sit around the campfire in the evening, roasting marshmallows, and take in the beautiful stars, unobstructed by any city lights. The cottage is centrally located to many points of interest on the Northern Bruce Peninsula. The village of Tobermory - with its shops, restaurants, harbour and boat tours - is just a 20-minute drive away. Bruce Peninsula National Park, with its fantastic hiking trails and cliff-top views of the escarpment, is just 15 minutes from the cottage. Singing Sands public beach, which is a great beach for kids and the whole family, is just a short drive away as well. It offers sandy shores and gradual entry so that youngsters can splash around at shore and the swimmers in your group can wade into deeper water for great swimming. Get out and explore!
