Anyone who relishes spending time in the water—whether it’s swimming, sailing, or surfing—will jump at the chance to vacation at Heron's Walk Beach House. The 2-bedroom, air conditioned home is less than a half-mile from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean to the east and from the Intracoastal Waterway to the west.
To get to the cinnamon-color beach, all you have to do is stroll or bike down the side street that’s right outside Heron's Walk front door. Once there, you can jump in the waves, search for shells and sea glass, toss the Frisbee, or simply stretch out on a blanket and watch the dolphins and whales cavort in the surf. Getting to the Intracoastal Waterway is just as easy. You can walk to Bing’s Landing in less than 10 minutes, and once there, you can launch your canoe or kayak into the Intracoastal. The 7-acre park also has a fishing pier and a bait shop, hiking trails, a playground, picnic areas, and a barbecue restaurant that’s earned rave reviews. You don’t have to leave Heron's Walk to savor fresh barbecue, though.
The backyard, surrounded by lush trees and shrubs, has a charcoal grill so that you can cook up your catch of the day—or burgers from the nearby grocery—and then savor it outdoors on the deck amid the fresh air and sunshine. Of course you can dine indoors as well. The open-plan living/dining/kitchen area includes a dining table that seats 4. After your meal, clear the dishes and set up the Monopoly board or head to the adjacent living area to watch a movie on the HDTV with cable. Feel free to invite friends over—there’s plenty of room for everyone to gather on the spacious leather sofas and in the plush armchairs. The screened-in front porch is another favorite gathering spot. Furnished with chairs and even a sofa, it’s also a lovely space to escape for some quiet time. Stretch out with a book or your tablet (Heron's Walk Beach House has free WiFi) or indulge in a nap—it’s your vacation; spend it however you want!
The kitchen is loaded with everything you need to prepare simple snacks or full-course gourmet feasts. Even if you dine out for most meals, you’ll love the convenience of having a coffeemaker for your morning cup of joe and a blender for late-night milkshakes or margaritas. There’s a dishwasher, to free you up for more fun in the sun, and a washer and dryer too. A vacation is no time to fuss about chores!
Heron's Walk Beach House has 2 bedrooms plus a futon bedroom. Once you see the en-suite master bedroom’s lofty queen-size bed, you may want to take a nap then and there! This bedroom also has an HDTV, a private bathroom, a sitting area, ample storage, and plenty of space to spread out.
The 2nd bedroom has a queen-size, which enables Heron's Walk to accommodate 2 couples as comfortably as it can a family. There’s a 2nd full bathroom as well. When you arrive you’ll find the beds impeccably made up and plenty of freshly laundered towels and extra bedding—no need to bring your own linens.
Should you want a change of pace from water sports, there’s plenty more to do nearby. Golf courses, nature preserves, Marineland, shopping, historic St. Augustine, Daytona International Speedway, and more are within driving distance. Even the Orlando theme parks are only a day trip away. Heron's Walk Beach House is the vacation getaway you’ve been hoping to find.
