Private and entire apartment is on the top floor of a quiet building. Hardwood floors throughout, completely updated kitchen with new s/s appliances. The apartment is not a fancy hotel or a new construction type of environment. If you are looking for a palace experience, please continue looking for a better fit.
The apartment is a bright, clean, and a safe home away from home. Quick commute to and from NYC (train to WTC is 10 minutes!!) in a vibrant and busy area with terrific restaurants. 10 minute drive to Newark Airport (EWR) as well. It is a great solution for mid sized groups looking for peace and quiet after being out all day. Hosting more than 6 is crowded but can host up to 8.
Bedroom number 1 has a queen bed. Bedroom #2 has a single bed and bunk bed (not pictured yet - twin over twin). There is a full size couch and a 'two seater' in the common living room. The living room has enough space for blow up mattresses (queen size and twin size included in apartment). Neither bathroom is updated but should cover all your needs (tub and shower in each).

The neighborhood is a ten minute subway ride to NYC. It is safe and diverse with a wide variety of mixed nationalities, economic backgrounds, old world and new contemporary architecture all mixed together.
Highlights include Lincoln Park a few minutes walk, perfect for a relaxing stroll or a nice jog. Little India with great restaurants as well as Grove Street Path Station with boutiques and restaurants nearby. Short ride to Liberty State Park with connection to the Statue of Liberty.
Walk 10-15 minutes to the Grove Street PATH station. Uber costs about $5. There is also a bus stop a block away that will take you to the Path station. Grove street stop is two minutes on the train for boutiques and great bars/restaurants. Exchange place and Newport are five minutes away for the water front in Jersey City.
The PATH train ride from Journal Square to The World Trade Center is 10 minutes. Trains departing every 3-6 minutes during rush hours. The PATH train detours through Hoboken on weekends, count on an extra 10 minutes. One PATH train ride costs $2.75 (though if you buy 10+ rides the rate is $2.10 per ride). The METRO subway system in NYC also costs $2.75 per ride.
Aqui Market is about five blocks away and has most foods you could need, is very reasonably priced and has very fresh produce.
Newport Mall and Movie Theatre is a 10 minute drive.
One parking spot (might be able to fit two smaller cars) included. Additional street parking is usually available but take note of street cleaning and city rules.
Newark Liberty International Airport is a 10 minute taxi/Uber ride. As of Fall 2016, Uber cost $15. depending on traffic.
From JFK Airport and LaGuardia Airport: take combination bus/subway or taxi to the PATH station at 33rd street/6th avenue. OR Uber/taxi directly to the apartment for more than $60.

Please share the House Rules with every guest in the group. Neighbors require peace and quiet. Enter and exit with low or no voices, banging luggage, or slamming doors.
- At departure, leave the apartment the way it was found including dishes. Toss the coffee filter. Pile the Linens, towels, pillow cases, and the duvet's covering the blankets. Report needed repairs. Do your best to store critter tempting food. Keep stove, coffee station, sink, and counters clean. Spare linens or towels from my private cabinet are needed directly after departure, ask permission. Luggage belongs on the floor and not on top of beds or furniture.
NO: shoes, smoking, candles, open flames, drugs, parties, pets, unauthorized persons or gatherings or overnight guests. No eating food on in beds. No intense spices or curies that will permeate the walls.
- YES: Turn off AC and lights when leaving the apartment. Close doors softly. Flush only toilet paper. The system is indeed sensitive. Use my kitchen (dishes, gas stove etc) and clean up after. Clean up the bathroom please, i.e. hairs. Report need for replacement or repair
