Terrible Swimming but Immaculate Cottages

The cottages and grounds are beautiful although they are often covered in goose dropping by the evening. The bay is a swamp. Ankle deep muck. A great spot if you have a boat or don't mind driving to a beach, but do not plan on swimming off the property.

Dear Guest, We are sorry that this may have been your experience. Mac's Shacks resort includes 4 waterfront cottages with up scale amenities giving you all comforts of home and more. We pride ourselves on our resorts' cleanliness and the impeccable customer service we provide. Our grounds keeper is on location each and every morning to be sure our resort is ready for our guests to enjoy. He cleans the hot tub each day and also cleans up any goose dropping found on the property. Some days mother nature has a sense of humour more than others, which can make it difficult to be sure the grounds free from droppings at all times. Many of our guests love our shallow, safe waterfront to splash and swim in with their children. Lookabout Bay has a silt/sand bottom which can be quite soft underfoot. Water shoes are recommended.

Fantastic Family Vacation

We loved sitting on the huge dock and the kids enjoyed the swimming, kayaks and canoe. The beds are all new and very comfortable. The kitchen even had a garlic press in the draw... Read More
