INSIDE THE HOUSE
Park up on a large driveway with space for 2 cars. From here, stairs lead up to a porch at the front of the house.
After stepping into the main entry, turn left into a guest bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed – ideal if you’re bringing little ones.
Opposite, a compact kitchen makes life easy for the chef in your group with full-size appliances (including an electric stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher) and two separate pantries to stash groceries and cooking essentials.
A large two-seater breakfast bar offers a casual spot for chit-chat and drinks while evening meals simmer.
There’s space for everyone to share meals at a 6-seater dining table, overlooked by the kitchen. A log-effect gas stove and wall-mounted heating unit keeps this area feeling toasty warm on chilly days.
Beside the dining area, you can grind and brew fresh espressos at a wet bar with a mini fridge and coffee making facilities.
Just beyond, retreat with your hot drink and a magazine to a small sitting area furnished with two soft swivel armless chairs.
The master bedroom is located just off this room, featuring a queen-size bed. An en-suite bathroom has a stand-up shower and connects to a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
On the opposite side of the dining area, the main living room offers gorgeous water views through picture windows. Comfy armchairs and a leather couch offer seating for six around a gas stove and 46'' flat-screen TV and DVD player.
Just off this room, the 3rd bedroom has a queen-size bed and large walk-in closet. Sliding doors open to a small deck with beautiful views over the glittering bay. It’s a great spot to read a book or simply bask in the sun.
The house also has a guest bathroom with a double sink vanity and shower/tub combo.
Climb to the summit of an historic lighthouse or explore an abandoned underground bunker at Fort Casey Historical State Park - an 8-minute drive away. This 998-acre marine camping park also offers opportunities for boating, diving and saltwater fishing.
If you’re bringing bikes, cycle 13 minutes and head along the Kettles Trail beginning in Rhododendron Park, then peddle through the woods and along gorgeous coastal trails at Fort Ebey State Park.
Downtown Coupeville is also just a 12-minute drive away for dining, cute local shops and waterside strolls. After wandering around the town, explore further afield on nearby hiking trails or book a kayak trip around Whidbey Island.
Please be aware that Navy planes practice nearby--which are really loud--and there is possible noise from the Navy practicing their touch and go at OLF Coupeville. They fly directly in front of our house and touch down and go on the hill behind. From the front of the house - it can be very loud.
